Why do Republicans let Dems get away with corruption??

I have been following Hannity and others on the corruption in DC, how the Dems used the tools of government to try to win an election, how the dems spied on Trump illegally, etc..

But it seems like all there ever is is talk about all this and nothing ever comes of it. But wait, something did come of all the investigations. Trump-associates were jailed for "lying" although Mike Flynn was believed, even by the dishonest FBI interrogators, to be telling the truth...

well, some of you know all this and so.. yeh.. my point is that only conservatives or conservative-leaning people are ever convicted of anything in DC

The Republicans are too soft on the lawless, lying... dems

Remember the submarine guy, a Marine, i believe, who took pictures INSIDE a US submarine and they got him convicted for exposing US intel?

while some politicians do their business on unprotected servers and devices and one "lost" 33,000 emails, some of which were classified.. and nothing ever happened to that person...

that is just so creepy, how the every day people in this country are convicted for the littlest thing while DC politicians can commit virtual treason...

some country this has turned out to be... Did the Founders ever imagine such things..?

Yes, they halfway expected it, which is why they gave us three competing branches of govt in hopes of creating gridlock. Also why it's called a Republic and not a democracy.

do you ever get the feeling that is not sufficient?

i mean, this corruption just goes on and on and on..

our system is too unwieldy, it seems, to deal with the problem of corruption (and lying)

I mean Schiff's middle name is probably Pinocchio

I'd quit listening to Hannity and start following people who know what's going on.

What Trump associates were jailed?

George Nader disagrees. Keith Reniere disagrees. Ed Buck disagrees. Anthony Wiener disagrees.  Terry Bean disagrees.  I could go on and on.

That's because they're too scared to address corruption out of fear of being called "conspiracy theorists".

They've never been in a position like this where they're all going down.

That's the most insane thing I've ever heard. Criminals involved in all these corruption rings are being rounded up daily.

I don't complain. I enjoy all the arrests and moves against the bad guys.  I love the pace of what Barr and Durham are running at.

The wheels of justice have been rolling at light speed, in my opinion.

I am glad to see the criminal investigations have gone to hole without any leaks.  I retired from a career in law enforcement.   A few times we had high profile, highly politicized cases.  This impacts both the quality of the investigation and the prosecution.  Justice is best served when lady justice remains blind and investigations follow the facts and nothing but the facts.  Having said this, I fully understand why Donald Trump had his persona attorney conducting a concurrent investigation.  Donald Trump is an American citizen who has been victimized by a criminal conspiracy.  He has every right to attempt to clear his name by finding evidence of wrongdoing which may not violate any law but is a violation of Trump's civil rights.  The criminal investigation may discover such things, but if the DOJ/FBI does their job right, they only will address the facts pertaining to any of those who are indicted and nothing more.  All the rest is a civil matter!

what do you mean by "all the rest" being a civil matter?

I am just going to sit back and listen to the apologists and smile. The truth is that we voted in so many Republicans out of desperation to have anyone that called themselves a Republicn, We forgot about who was what a Republican was.

So we got a bunch of Democrats that called themselves Republicans  like Romey, McCain, Ryan, Flake, Alexander, Murkowski, Collins... who think it is great when the media and the Democrats praise them.  They are Hillary Clinton with religion. George Bush gave us tax cuts for votes just like he gave Democrats Part D. Bush grew government.

We need more Jim Jordan style Republicans. Donald Trump should be the norm not the exception.

Cryptic Bert

Establishment republicans have no backbone and others have been beaten into submission by the threats of being called racist, homophobic, xenophobic etc.

shhh

They aren't just soft on Dem corruption.  In most cases, they are complicit.  #DeepState  They are in on the take.  This is why they do nothing to help PDJT.  Some have been blackmailed into submission, others by their choice.

Case in point. TEA and the IRS scandal and how the Pubs ran block for the Dims. We know they were in as deep as the Marxists in wanting to stop us.

We've got to get the money out of the system and increase the number of representatives to make it more representatives of our desires.

We, as Americans, all know and talk about the corruption. We need officials closer to us that we can hold better accountable.
Rules of Engagement

noun: democracy
a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.

Reps pre 1912 = mostly Progressive
Dems pre 1928 = mostly Conservative
