I have posted other places about the nearly-monolithic support of blacks for the Dems, and how it makes absolutely no sense. This dude's theory -- Dem control of media, entertainment and education -- goes a long way toward a sensible answer. Within the span of my lifetime, blacks in America have shifted from majority Pub voters to lockstep Dem voters.

I remember the "blaxploitation" films of the 70's like "Shaft...."

It has long reached the point where Dems need only get out the vote in the black neighborhoods. There's no need to try to win hearts and minds -- black voters punch for Dems automatically. 90% is typical; it was 95% for Obama in 2008. Even the Nazis never managed that kind of electoral response.

I used to refer to my parents -- both products of the Depression -- as "knee-jerk" Democrats. My father, for example, cannot remember a presidential election before FDR's first victory in 1932. He was a young man fighting the Japanese thousands of miles from home before he learned that there could be a president that wasn't named Roosevelt. (Of course, the new guy was also a Democrat, and that was a comfort, no doubt...) Dad and so many like him came to be adults with a Democrat in the White House their entire cognizant lives.

But the shift of black voters to the Democrat Party is a lot tougher to understand, a lot more complex. No less real, though...

It is indeed interesting.  One of my favorite things to do is, when I get into a discussion with one of the darker persuasion, and I trap them into saying that I may have some racist tendencies for not being the biggest fan of Obama, I give them my dream candidate: http://www.hermancain.com  and ask them why they wouldn't support him.  I love to whip that out especially after I make the case that Obama is not very smart, and my 8 year old niece, who ran a lemonade stand, has more business understanding and experience than Obama, and is a far better speaker and can formulate a coherent sentence.  She also knows how many states are in the Union, and understands basic property rights.  Therefore, with Obama dropping the presidential standards, she is far overqualified to be president.

One reason she couldn't do better than Obama campaigning is her bedtime is at 8:00.

I suggest you let your niece stay up until 8:30. The extra 30 minutes should put her over the top... LOL!!!!!!!!

The trouble is, folks like Colin Powell and Condi Rice get a lot more press. The message there is clear: "Well, I sinned for a while with the white man, but now I see the light." And the MSM, of course, walk them gently through the process of "reformation," their re-entry into the fold. Both are now at 'sainthood' level in the press, never questioned, never criticized.
