You might have something there. I never thought of it that way.

One thing that strikes me is that liberals/progressives are largely atheistic/agnostic. They don't subscribe to an established religion or they don't believe in the classic concept of God. Or if they do identify with some religion or belief, they don't spend a lot of time in church.

But being humans (I swear, they're humans), they have the same needs as the rest of us, and one of those needs is a yearning for the comfort of some sort of religion (though they don't call it that). I think they have literally substituted their wacky belief system -- especially the environmental aspects -- for religion. That actually explains Krauthammer's observation, that they think we're evil, not merely wrong or stupid. We see them as pests, like fleas or ticks, or as imbeciles, riders on the short bus of life. They see us as imps, the henchmen of Satan, literal incarnations of Evil.

I could be wrong. (what's new ) but I think we all have "Evil" in us.  Most of us have learned how to control it.  Until some one crosses the line and awakens it in us.  I was push twice in my live to that point, and did no like what I was seeing in myself.

I hear yah

But what I find funny is, I have been to some of the Liberal web sites just to see what its like
Thats It, I looked and left, I have no interest in going there on a daily basis

And yes They do seem to HATE I have seen that many times over the years, they dont just disagree, They Hate :cursing:

You have them figured out. Their ideas are empty. Therefore, they must get into name calling, disparaging remarks and other distractions. Most of us here are refugees from those type boards.

In essence, they lack actual moral values. They've been taught to equate morality with religion, taught that religion is for the ignorant, mindless sheep, that God is a man made concept to control the masses of mindless sheep.
That by rejecting religion, they are somehow smarter than a Millennium of historical culture, that they are the enlightened ones.

This group was groomed. Decades of infiltration by the left into our school system leftist indoctrination system is coming to fruition on their part.
But there's one thing the left fails to control, mans natural drive to do the right thing, as I believe, evidenced by this generation rejecting the Dim party agenda.

They believed every damned word the supposed "more enlightened adults" told them, they were given a slogan to morph into whatever they believed it meant, that Hope and Change meant good things, that "To Serve Man" was a good thing, not a cook book.
But this bait and switch of a lie was exposed for what it was, and now these same mindless slates are pissed off and set on correcting  a wrong, punishing those that lied to them.

The Marxists threw everything they had into the the Dim party after seizing it from the moderates, they had their and blew it.

Yes, while it occurred to me this morning, getting ready for church, while Karl Marx's most quoted, memorable, line,  is "Religion is the opiate of the masses," what (?) has kept us from understanding the corollary, which is, "Opium is the religion of the communists."

You know, it is true in so many ways. I suggest a plank in Plan B, is as the PM of Hungary, suggests, "Work hard."  Margaret Thatcher famously said, "The problem with socialism is sooner or later, socialists run out of other people's money."  I suggest that has already happened.

(Incidentally, historians claim Karl Marx was a heavy opium user, for chronic pain.)
