Well, apparently, at least according to Newsmax, Sessions seems to be Trumps preferable choice. If this report is true, Im a little surprised Fig Newton isnt at the top of Trumps list, or even Krispy Kreme Christie.

QuoteWith less than a month to go before the Republican National Convention that will make Donald Trump's nomination for president official, sources close to the billionaire candidate told Newsmax Wednesday that his top choice, at the moment, as his vice presidential running mate is Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama. Requesting anonymity, the sources told us that Trump feels personally comfortable with swashbuckling conservative Sessions, 69, who was the first member of the Senate to endorse his candidacy and who frequently speaks with him.

The square Sessions seems to fit many square holes for Trump: he's conservative and nails down the party's right flank, he endorsed Trump early and has been extremely loyal, he has Washington legislative experience — a key requirement — and importantly, he can be totally trusted never to criticize Trump no matter what he might say in the coming months.

Madoff actually did ask Trump to "invest" in his scheme,
and Trump chose not to.
Trump figured, "I have my own businesses to invest in.
What do I need Madoff for?"

I think Trump is going to pick Jeff Sessions.  Sessions was bought and paid for just before Super Tuesday when he endorsed Trump over Ted.

Newt would be too easy to parody as the Grinch.  Besides, he's the guy who lost his seat in Congress to Cooter from the Dukes of Hazard tv series.  He lost to Cooter!

Newt Gingrich joined Chris Wallace on Fox News to talk about Donald Trump's VP selection process.

When asked if he was being vetted to be Donald Trump's running mate on the Republican ticket Sunday,
Newt Gingrich said that Trump wouldn't even think about making his decision
until two days before the party's convention next month.

"I think Donald Trump does not want to make a decision until the convention,"
Gingrich said. "I think that he is a very decisive person
and in case of a few of us—I'm an example. There's not much vetting to do.
I mean, you guys have been all over me for a decade."
