Who Is Correct?

O'Reilly or Limbaugh?   I think Limbaugh is on to something.  There are just more low info voters out there that makes it hard to overcome them at the ballot box.  Many are "takers" and really don't think beyond the current day.  We have a detached "Road Show" President stuck in perpetual campaign mode and a House that has no balls whatsoever when it comes to standing up to the opposition.  We all know the situation with the media so there's no sense rehashing that.  We have the GOP who actually thinks they are going to win back the Latino vote, a vote that they never really had to start with.  We have porous borders that no one really tries to close.  Lip service is not border control.

I just don't see things turning around soon, if ever.

O'Reilly: Limbaugh Wrong Left Has Won

"But on his Friday radio show, Limbaugh said: "The purpose of this program has been to create as large a body of informed voting citizens as possible. While we've been largely and profoundly successful at that, the left has beaten us. They have created far more low-information, unaware, uneducated people than we've been able to keep up with."

I don't think the low informed voter is the problem, they don't care. The problem is the so called 47% who will do anything to keep their handouts, they vote!  Now many if the 47% may be the low informed voter?

BINGO!  I don't recall where I read or heard this and I admit it isn't quite this simple but all a Democrat has to do is gain about 5 percent of the opposition vote and he or she is victorious since they start off with an assurance of approximately 47%.

Now again, granted that's not a statistical fact but in layman's terms, "it's a hell of a head start" to have to overcome.

Yes it is and I am embarrassed to say that I knew some of the 5% that swung over, some used to be hardcore righties all their life. But this yr did the switch.
Here is what I got from one of them, well my daughter is now a single mom and Romney would have cut her foodstamps (subsides). I nearly fell of my chair. Oh well she is a healthy woman let her work.
Also they don't have to pick up 5% is all they have to do is have some of the hardcore Republicans stay home. I have a few nephews who didn't vote this yr also, just said it wouldn't matter.
I had a very hard and dramatic election yr.

I am so disgusted by what is happening in this country that it's invading all aspects of my life and I see it affecting even my personality.  I don't suffer fools easily and I'm far more quick to tell you off and even dump you as a friend.  I can't stand living where I do any longer and I readily admit that I am not interested in one's opinion as far as politics if it isn't in agreement with mine.  Sounds terrible but at least it's honest.

I admit that I have become the inolerant jackass that I used to abhor.   I find myself only happy when I am among like-minded individuals.  I blame a great deal of it on my personal frustration with the last 4 years and the revelation that as a person there isn't really much I can do about it alone.

People offers advice and platitudes which I'm afraid to say is just bullshit.  I have two eyes and I can clearly see where we are headed and it's going to be an ugly trainwreck.

Neither is wrong, Oreily took Limbaugh out of context.
But what both said is true, Rush said, the left has generated more low info voters, and Oreily is correct, the Right has no leadership.
Bill is trying to suck off the power of Rush, it's what lower rated talk shows do.

Oreily is the last person I would listen to, where Conservative ideas are concerned.

Same here Turks....
And yes, the train has several directions to take and it's hard to change tracks at the rate of speed we're traveling, but as a passenger I won't sit idly by, or even bail, I'll do all I can to convince as many as possible to pressure the engineer to slow down and take a different track, even if that means taking over the train.

Lord knows I try but I'm surrounded with Obama-like ilk here in NJ.  Luckily I live in a town dominated by Republicans and Democrats don't stand a pray of getting elected here.

He's the biggest blowhard on cable.  Yeah, "he's looking out for you". Right!  He's looking out for his bank account and his even bigger ego.

I don't watch O'Reily as he irritates me with his interuptions after asking a question. I believe Rush is a true conservative and O'Reily is just hawking his show and goods.

I think OReilly is generally conservative, with undertones of snarky liberal pablum, that he rolls out whenever self absorbed self promotion is called for.

He likes to be the anti-establishment know-it-all when it suits him, sorta like a Bill Maher lite.

How many of that 47% actually get down to the polls. They just make sure they're registered, and their friendly Dimocrap votes for them.

O'Reilly is a complete lib.  His interviews with Hussein were ridiculous.

I think that Reilly will say what ever will maintain the most viewers.  He has guests on but they had better saw what he wants them to say or he just talks over them.  I think he is an opportunist so I cannot watch him because I just am not sure how to interpret what he says.  Rush only sees things through his conservative lens so you know where he is coming from and that is his view.  Not sure I explained well but I like a consistent view on things and not necessarily left or right as someone who is just intellectually consistent is just as valuable in my book.   By the way Dennis Kucinich has been pretty good on Fox and gives what I think is at least a reasoned view of things.

I do agree with Oreilly that the GOP is lost.  They just seem to either be a bunch of wimps or intellectually incompetents.  Maybe it is my view that I want someone who give solutions and not someone who just complains about the problems.   They should cut Bush out of the discussion by saying he went beyond what the government should do.  Instead they allow Obama to have cover by saying he is only doing what Bush did.  My answer to that is Bush was wrong and you are many times more wrong than even he was.

The only way the media is going to cover the GOP is if they are brave and bold and speak in no uncertain terms.  If they sit back waiting for Obama to undo himself it is not going to happen as the media covers up every mistake he makes.

Guys / Girls - O'Reilly is quite Liberal. Being conservative on 1 or 2 things does not make you a Conservative.

YES - Rush is right 100%

Being retired, I spend 8 hours a day plus on the computer. I receive about 60 Conservative oriented e-mails a day. NO I don't read them all. I skim.
[b BUT - ]I cannot know all of what is going on politically. [/b]

Ordinary working people  don't have the time to spend 1 or 2 hours a day on the computer, looking at news. BUT - it would totally depend on what kind of news they were looking at, which would make them well informed """ONLY""" if they were looking a Conservative Material If they spent 2 hours looking at mainstream news they would just be "LIBERALLY INDOCTRINATED."

The major difference between Conservative and Progressives - is where do you get YOUR  political information from.

Low income voters = Low value Voters get their political wisdom from Saturday Night Live, Letterman - other talk show hosts, Hollywood Entertainers, Black Entertainers, the NAACP, the SPL, Louis Farrakhan, Shabazz and other left radicals.

Most of the U.S.  Representatives and Senators in Congress are not well informed. They don't have time or don't take the time. In fact few legislators anywhere are well informed. They don't have or take the time to learn.

What will change politics is for the majority of the public to get most of their news from online Conservative sources.

People on Forums (Conservatives) are usually much better informed. Progressives and Liberals exhibit the same illogical politics.

Conservative is Mostly Plain Common Sense on Issues.

There are really a lot of Black Conservatives that the Republican Party gave the finger to in 2008 and 2010.

Our National Mainstream Media / Press is not well informed.

The strength of our Society is the continuous recognition, respect and acknowledgment of the right of Freedom of Speech and necessity of high social and moral standards as well as loyalty to the absolute implementation of those principles set forth in our US constitution.
