The GOP is winning in the states and more legislatures are being controlled by the GOP. They are doing something right locally. I think the problem with the national party is they live in DC. They are concentrating on the independents/moderates. They need to appeal to the base considering Romney got fewer votes than McCain.

With the local success maybe some states should consider apportioning electoral votes by congressional districts with the two votes for the senator seats going to the candidate that wins the majority of the congressional districts. I believe CO and ME do this now. It would certainly have helped in VA, OH, PA and FL.

This was my point about cycles and why we will be back in power soon.
However, unless we purge the party of libs, we will continue our slow descent in Hell.
Actually I gotta agree with the cycle statement. Bill Clinton was in office for two terms, George Bush was in office for two years, Obama is in office for two terms as well, I think I'm seeing a pattern here.

Yeah, me too. We keep sliding further to the left. We are becoming dangerously close to full blown European style socialism. Even as we watch it fall apart over there.

But according to this pattern, a Republican should be coming in 2016. But then agian in 1994 and 2000, there werent a total of 11 million illegal immigrants and the growing demographics werent necessarily young women and hispanics. But we mustnt give up hope, I'm sure those with common sense will eventually come together.
