What Do You Suggest?

Maybe it's just my security settings (which went haywire anyway signing in here), but I did in fact have to use verification for a second PM here. You might wanna consider delving into making Help into boldface caps for clarity.

What width do you want your site banner? (Pixels, please.)

I may not be here much, but at least I can bring a belated housewarming gift.

I think it was because the forum still had you logged in as a guest as well as a member, so it was just following orders.
Excellent idea, but I haven't ventured that far into the prog yet, so I don't know yet how to accomplish such a feat.

Thank you sir, I have no idea, I think Taxed asked Mercy to design one, you might contact Taxed and coordinate with him.

I haven't asked MFA yet, so quiller, feel free...  quiller, maybe a 150x150?  We can always scale it down...

Lemme try a few experiments on one of your currently-vacant boards. 150x150 doesn't sound right. Either you're thinking of avatar images to fit below the username, or you're thinking you'd get much more than about 1.5 inches wide (depending on the image source, even in a .GIF format to save your bandwidth).

If this place uses .CSS, you might get more information reading a text version of that file without actually messing with it inside your control-panel. That or your .INDEX page. They might have buried that info in the megadata section, but those are the first three places I can think of to look.

As it stands the page unfolds gracefully across a 22" wide monitor-screen, and whatever place they store their present images for that section, you should be able to recognize it. Change the .INDEX link to a different image (height.width TBA) and you're done. I think. YABB used to be fairly simple to figure out, but I'd need to spend time I don't have right now, to learn more. Sorry.

I think the banner goes here, at this place...

<link rel="canonical" href="http://conservativepoliticalforum.com/index.php?board=1.0" />

I am WAY too rusty with HTML to be reliable here. Seriously. But if I'm wrong, I'd hate to have caused anyone problems. Suggest you remove public links to operational files. I can snag it via PM if I need it again.

First off, thanks for the invite into your new forum, Solar!  I feel like SOMEBODY now!   ;D

Nice place you have here.  Still smells like fresh paint and new carpeting!   ;)

I have no suggestions, really.  Congrats on "taking the leap" and starting up a QUALITY forum.

You are more than welcome, but it was Dan and Taxed idea, I had been playing with the idea for more than a year, but they kicked me in the ass to get it going, all the bitching and nagging, I finally conceded.

One other thing, notice I said bitch, and it didn't filter me like some kid?  ;D

I'm enjoying myself in a newbie kind of way.  I have had one problem with one post.  After I did the "quote thing" to respond and then typed a couple of lines, everytime I'd hit a key my response would "flip over".  I perservered because there is a stubborn streak in me somewhere, but I couldn't see my response due to the flipping and getting nauseus until I hit the post button.  It's only happened in one thread.

Do you have any idea what happened?  Do you even understand what I'm saying?  Overall, I like it.

Where are the dancing girls?
That's my fault, I told Bert to find us some boobs, and now he's off trying to find libs to join the forum...
Ya would think after all this time, Bert being in charge of boobs and all, he'd have figured that one out. ;D

Here's my two bits, you need a "Politics" category with National, International and local forums

I've had that happen at LNF, and if I remember correctly, it was a stuck key on my keyboard.
And or, I posted to big an article, and every key stroke, cause a flipping motion.

Speaking of epic boobs.
