Our traditional way of life is under attack at this very moment and the majority of our citizens are not even aware of it. It is a cultural war between the secularist and the moral majority.
The secular progressives  have figured out the only way to change America is to minimize the role of religion in our lives. With the help of the ACLU, they have engaged in a "war" against all traditions relating to religious events starting with the Christmas celebration. By removing any references to God in the public square, they hope to make a dent in our traditional beliefs. They've already won in numerous lawsuits trying to intimidate public servants to abide by their interpretation of "separation of church and state". The most recent win is the successful removal of the cross from the Los Angeles City insignia that is on all the public generated documents. They have also won against many local schools by removing any reference to the Christmas Holiday from the school calendar despite the fact that Christmas is a National Holiday.
From trying to remove "under God" from the Pledge, to removing the 10 Commandments from our Court House, they are bent on erasing our Judeo Christian Heritage. A close examination of history and our founding fathers will reveal that clearly they were people of deep faith and they believed our nation was founded with the blessings of Almighty God.

Over the last 30 years, we have already seen the damage this has done to our schools and our youth and our family. It has also contributed to the decline of our traditional culture and a rise of pop culture. By removing God and religious traditions, they have succeeded in removing personal responsibility and judgment with regard to personal behavior.

As a Conservative, I recognize the war is raging but unfortunately, the general public is clueless. The "war on Christmas" is a myth. The liberal media does its part to portray traditionalist as "right" wing extremists. They assume main stream America agrees with their views and approach all news items through their secular lens. That is why when media bias is leveled against them, they deny it and would pass a lie detector test. Any discussion of controversial topics such as abortion and gay marriage are presented as the Christian right forcing their beliefs on the rest of us. In fact, these issues are brought to the table by the secular progressives and they are using the activist courts to impose their will on the American people. They know that they cannot win at the ballot box.

The ACLU is the most dangerous organization to our American tradition. They will use their legal power to challenge all traditional values and beliefs to re-shape America to a secular society fashioned after Western Europe. That is the undeniable truth.
And how about that liberal Washington rally?  Wasn't it was pathetic! It was like a commercial for why we need to elect conservatives in November. And the trash these pigs left was disgusting.

But they don't care, they are all Hippocrates, every last one of them. After watching that liberal hootenanny on C-Span for awhile Saturday, I came away thinking that, if I didn't detest these people so much I'd have felt embarrassed for them. It was a truly stupid gathering of stupid people. And because most people have figured this out, and have learned that every leftist gathering includes massive doses of communism, made the decision to forgo a day long Marxist, anti-Israel, anti-American screech fest.
So my friends, Just as Sherman rolled through the South and destroyed his enemies ability to fight, we must defeat every Democrat and Liberal, if we are to save the future of our children. And that will be just the beginning, we will then take the fight on to 2012, and get this Marxist out of our lives.

One of the major reason why the GOP has been devolving itself and becoming irrelevant.

Let's see what Mr. Conservative himself has to say about this horseshit -

"Well, I've spent quite a number of years carrying the flag of the 'Old Conservatism.'  And I can say with conviction that the religious issues of these groups have little or nothing to do with conservative or liberal politics.  The uncompromising position of these groups is a divisive element that could tear apart the very spirit of our representative system, if they gain sufficient strength."

"The religious factions will go on imposing their will on others unless the decent people   connected to them recognize that religion has no place in public policy.  They must learn to make their views known without trying to  make their views the only alternatives. . .  We have succeeded for 205   years in keeping the affairs of state separate from the uncompromising idealism of religious groups and we mustn't stop now. "To retreat from that separation would violate the principles of conservatism and the values upon which the framers built this democratic republic."

"When you say 'radical right' today, I think of these moneymaking ventures by fellows like Pat Robertson and others who are trying to take the Republican Party and make a religious organization out of it. If that ever happens, kiss politics goodbye."

-- Barry Goldwater

I'm shocked that somebody with the name of "Pagan" would be anti-religious.   :( :o

People like Beau and Pagan make it real easy to see why this country is going in the toilet.  They have no problem with restricting everybody ELSE'S freedoms.........but don't anybody DARE mess with theirs (whatever they are).

Dan

Pagan, it's easy to throw rocks at literally everyone. What are you for? What do you believe in? How would you help the nation?
If you believe big government is the solution then you are a liberal. If you believe big government is the problem then you are a conservative.

I'll match your challenge and raise you enlightening us on the specific clause in the U.S. Constitution that addresses "separation of church and state".

The 1st Amendment, in case you forgot (or didn't know) states the following, in part: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof......................"

Seems pretty straight forward to me.  CONGRESS shall make no religion the "official" religion of the United States, and Congress shall not prohibit people from freely exercising their religious beliefs.

So Pagan, what part of the 1st amendment do you not understand?  Or are you just another person who has fallen for the "separation of church and state" MYTH that the ACLU and anti-religious groups use as the basis for their courtroom histrionics and PC bullshit?

Like I said, get a clue

you still haven't answered the very simple and direct question -

So please enlighten us all on trashing the 1st Amendment and pushing one specific religion into politics would give religious freedom?
