Recently, a Congress-critter from California, Lynn Woolsey, a co-chair of the liberal Progressive Caucus in the House -- yeah, one of those California girls -- had this to say:

Pelosi will lead Democrats "in pulling on the president's shirttails to make sure that he doesn't move from center-right to far-right, We think if he'd done less compromising in the last two years, there's a good chance we'd have had a jobs bill that would have created real jobs, and then we wouldn't even be worrying about having lost elections."

Did you catch it? Did you see how they try to frame the debate?

This woman is claiming that Obama is already "center-right," and must be prevented from going "far-right."

Barack Hussein Obama hasn't seen the "right" side of an issue since his Kenyan papa left his dumb ass. Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles agree on this one.

From the point of view of someone like Woolsey Obama has moved to the right.

He never ordered the immediate withdrawal of military from Iraq and Afghanistan, didn't close down Gitmo and actually increased the size of our forces in Afghanistan. He's been a disappointment to them on issues related to homosexuals and he hasn't made anywhere near enough progress, according to the view of someone like Woolsey, on environmentally-related issues although that last is not from a want of trying.

Then there's my signature issue, education, about which lefties are afraid to berate Obama since he's actually farther to the right then Bush was.

These people are SCARY.  Obama is considered to be "center-right"?   :)) :)) :)) :)) :))

And just WHAT exactly has the Kenyan "compromised" on?  He rammed through Obamacare.  He's spent trillions of dollars trying to "create jobs", he's bailed out numerous corporations and financial institutions, and the list goes on and on and on.

That's not "good" enough for the communists?  Why can't California just crumble and fall into the sea?  (after Solar and ST get out first, of course.   ;))

As if the Pubs had any say in what the leftists were doing.
She, like so many of these idiots, actually believe this crap, that Husein is some kind of centrist.

All one has to do is check the list of czars he appointed since he became the highest paid welfare recipient. Everybody else is pulling the load while he plays golf, has wednesday night live in the Whitehouse and jets all over the world with as many as 3000 people in the fleet of aircraft that accompany him. He's a sock puppet manipulated by George Soros, Andy Stern, John Podesta and other left wing radicals. His incompetence has gotten bad enough that his administration is starting to leave him. They're tired of carrying his manure laden bucket.

I guess what frosts my ass is the fact that there's a support structure for the obviously false and ridiculous view that Obama is "center-right." The guy is damn near a Communist, and demonstrates it in every way, every day, and it just pisses me off that the MSM don't call him on anything.

Read on, and you'll learn that if "we'd done less compromising in the last two years, there's a good chance we'd have had a jobs bill that would have created real jobs." Yeah, right.

Government creates ONLY government jobs, each and every one of which is a drain on the private sector that finances government in the first place. The latest estimate I've seen is that at least two private sector jobs are lost for every public sector employee.

We surely need more of that government job "creation," don't we?

I guess I'm a "glass half full" kind of guy on the subject because as much as Obama'd love to go to the left he's hemmed in.

Even Obamacare has, probably, as many critics on the left as on the right although, obviously, for different reasons. But the fact remains that lefties were hoping for a distinctly single-payer flavored approach, with all the nasty, profit-mongering insurance companies consigned to the trash and all medical personnel free to become angels of mercy by virtue of being government employees.

They didn't get it.

They got a step in the direction they wanted to go but not a step at the top of a slippery slope. When - if - the lefties get another opportunity they're faced with a task no less difficult then the one they just managed and the future's not looking good. A lot of lefties blame Obama for being willing to compromise when he theoretically should have been able to dictate. Only a few of them are willing to actually voice their criticism but it's there.

The problem lefties in general have is the same problem the teacher's unions have: they're stuck with Obama. More then just being stuck with him too much in the way of criticism weakens him and not to the benefit of the extreme left. Criticizing Obama enough will undercut his support on the left to the benefit of.....conservatives!

So a couple of lefties who have columns to fill or aren't too bright pop off about Obama's shortcomings and what a disappointment he is but you can bet they get an earful from their fellow lefties about how criticism of Obama plays right into the hands of the right.

They've even got a bogeyman, or rather bogeywoman, to scare good, little lefties.

What if by criticizing Obama enough he's so weakened that Sarah Palin can beat him? Oh the horror!

One good thing is that for the next two years, Obama won't have to spend a lot of "desk time" signing into law ridiculous, budget-busting, socialist legislation.  The ink in his pen is going to dry out, except for the occasional veto.

He'll have lots more time to play basketball (and add to his "stitches" collection), and jet around the world at taxpayers expense.

Have you forgotten presidential orders? He is capable of much danger even without congress.

I think the lefties got pretty much what they wanted with ObamaCare, which is why we need to work hard to get it repealed.

No matter how it was presented or how it's described, ObamaCare has the very specific goal of eliminating private insurance and establishing the Holy Grail of single-payer (government) health care. There is simply no other conceivable reason for the federal government to be involved in the matter.

Let's say you're in the insurance business. You are successful, and employ an army of accountants, actuaries, medical people, etc. to make sure that your business can offer health insurance at competitive rates while still turning a profit. Then along comes ObamaCare and...

-- You can't place caps on total benefit payouts any more.

-- You can't consider pre-existing conditions when issuing new policies any more.

-- You have to extend coverage to young people up to age 26 on their parents' policies.

-- You can't effectively market your product unless the federal government invites you to join state or regional insurance "pools."

-- You can't adjust your premiums to reflect the costs of providing coverage to all comers.

How long are you going to stay in the insurance business?

And when you fold up shop and ride on out of town, who do you suppose will step in to fill your shoes?

With ObamaCare, the left infected the private health insurance business with the legislative equivalent of the AIDS virus. Your once-thriving company will cruise along looking healthy for a while... but sooner or later, it'll die.

Health care reform isn't about health care anyhow, and never was. It's about government control of your life.
