I opened this thread on an engineering forum that I'm on, and the more I dig, the worse it gets. This involves the EPA, FEMA, DHS, EOs, the UN, US drone surveillance by the US military, and the end of freedom as we know it.

Here are the pertinent links, it's a lot of reading, but it's scary as hell, and it's real.

EPA and USDA climate change adaptation programs. Opened for public discussion last Friday:

http://epa.gov/climatechange/pdfs/EPA-climate-change-adaptation-plan-final-for-public-comment-2-7-13.pdf

http://blogs.usda.gov/2013/02/07/usda-climate-change-adaptation-plan-open-for-public-comment/

The whitehouse site, and state implementation plans:

http://www.climatechange.ca.gov/adaptation/

http://www.mass.gov/eea/docs/eea/energy/cca/eea-climate-adaptation-report.pdf

The use of the US airforce for drone surveillance over the entire US:

http://cbsla.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/drones1.pdf

Document that brings the EPA into the fold with FEMA and DHS:

http://www.epa.gov/dced/pdf/2011_0114_fema-epa-moa.pdf

We may think we are fighting something, but we don't even know the beginning of what they are implementing; right under our noses. I predict that by the end of Obama's current term, every aspect of our lives will be under government control.

Maybe I'm just having a bad day, but this stuff has me freaked out.

I think the entire dog and pony show in Washington is just a distraction. In the meantime the left is coming at us from so many fronts, that it's impossible to keep up with.

For all I know, the republicans are in on it. I haven't heard a word about this crap until a few days ago. Not a peep out of the republicans. 2013 is the year that all of this gets implemented.

whoever said "ignorance is bliss" was certainly right

Edit: The biggest problem with this is the expansion of EPA and the affiliated directorates/department will add to the deficit, make more people dependent on the state, and worse fresh drinking water and public necessities will fall under EPA and FEMA with rationing solutions to problems, and if you want a shortage of something then rationing is the way to go.

EPA will not secure fresh water in event of emergency they will create shortage of it.

WW1 coffe/chocolate rationing in US is a perfect analogy of government creating shortage where there was over supply.

This is how they will stop fracking.

http://water.epa.gov/type/groundwater/uic/class2/hydraulicfracturing/wells_hydroreg.cfm

Any piece of equipment that runs on diesel fuel, comes under the EPA.

While the SDWA specifically excludes hydraulic fracturing from UIC regulation under SDWA ยง 1421 (d)(1), the use of diesel fuel during hydraulic fracturing is still regulated by the UIC program. Any service company that performs hydraulic fracturing using diesel fuel must receive prior authorization through the applicable UIC program.

I know we hate conspiracy theories, but it's now been established that the EPA, USDA, HUD, FEMA, NOAA, etc., will be all working under the DHS. Is it time to get concerned about the 100s of millions of rounds of ammo that they are purchasing?

It makes a lot more sense, knowing that Obama is going to use a multitude of agencies, and completely bypass congress to take control of every aspect of our lives. All of this gets implemented this year. I wouldn't have believed it was happening, if I didn't read it from the government's own sites. I'm officially scared.

Smells like "Executive orders" to me.  Now you know why congress is so silent on all of it.  No matter how many arguments are raised to the executive branch, the bottom line is Obungler's gonna' do whatever it takes to bring this country down.

My question is this, how do the dems think that most if not all of his proposals will move our country foward?  Sounds like wishful thinking on their part to think that these hairbrained schemes of Obunglar's will actually turn our country in the right direction.  There's already been too much sound opposition against most anything he comes up with and we've seen what the outcome has been-zero (0).

Another thing, along with the silence of the congress, I've never known of a situation in our history where the principles of our founding fathers was touted as ideals favored and abided by in speeches only.  In reality, these ideals are so exploited now that the Constitution  is just documents in a frame of a time long gone and along with that -freedom.

Everytime you hear Obunglar's speeches, listen for these words as he supposedly informs us of his next idiotic proposals.  In defence of anything he has to offer, he will always tell the listeners that most Americans favor what he has been doing and that he will continue to do whatever it takes to get this country on track for the times.  He's talking about the election of course, a subject I'm still of the opinion that was tampered with in his favor.

The part of us that didn't vote for him is the problem.  Obunglar knows that there will most likely be anarchy when the worst of his proposals gets implemented so he's taking measures to head off anything that will get in his way.  Buying all the bullets and trying to get all of the guns under his control is only a few steps to achieve his total command of us.  Another way to weaken the populus is to control the food suply.  We are already under his very expensive health control for the most part.  Education for our children has taken sure liberal standards in order to make sure that future generations will be on track for socialism (control).  I think the term associated with teaching our children is "get them while they are young".   The Bible tells us to get your understanding early in life and hopefully most people are taking advantage of the Bible plan and trust me, it is a toatally different one from Obunglar's.

I don't think that I got in over my head with all of this rambling.  I think that I have a good understanding of what we are faced with.  The world has a long history just packed with situations like we are in now.  It also has a prophetic history, one that is completely ignored by this administration.  I'll go down saying that ignoring this most important part of our history will be the biggest mistake of Obama's administration.  I'm prepared to see it thru because I believe that prophecy will win out in the end.

I really have no idea why the republicans are silent on this, but I don't like it.

On the engineering forum, I'm being slammed for being paranoid by one guy, and the rest have their heads in the sand.

I really don't think they understand the implications. CO2 was labeled as a pollutant in 2009. The EPA will implement their authority to regulate it in 2013; therefore, any industry that creates CO2 as a byproduct of their operations will come under the scrutiny of the EPA. They will be polluters. And despite providing nothing but government links, I'm being called crazy.

What these people don't understand, is that I will derive no pleasure from telling them "I told you so", a year from now. The entire freaking country is asleep at the wheel.

We are well past the standards for impeachment on about 20 issues.

When does somebody who gives a schyte about America stand up and grow a pair  ?

Now I know that it can't get past the senate, and probably even the RINOs in the house.

But damn, somebody with any sense of patriotism left should just fall on his or her sword, and propose articles of impeachment on every crime and end-run the guy has done.

One after the other, just submit the documents to start the process.  One per day for about a month.

Maybe every one gets shot down in minutes or hours, but this person will go down in history as just about our last great country(wo)man.

I don't know how there can't be this person out there.  What's a better thing to do, just sit around and watch it all unfold, like a mouse  ?

Benghazi is 1000X worse than Watergate.  Somebody should be riding this like Woodward / Bernstein did, or Karen Silkwood, or whomever.

It won't be a MSM type, that's for certain.  But it could be a talk radio type or a rep / senator.

I'm pretty depressed right now.
Public discussion on this topic was opened on Friday, and it ends in April. By the end of 2013, CO2 will be considered to be a major pollutant, and will be regulated by the EPA. In the meantime, I'm being treated like a crazy heretic on an engineering forum.

It seems like being a rational, small government conservative, earns you nothing but enemies these days.

People really don't think that our government is capable of doing anything that will hurt them; hence, this thread title.

Yawn

You are being rational (at least on this ). Progressives are using these regulatory agencies to bypass the only Constitutional and legitimate law making body (the US Congress). This isn't going to end well unless we can defund these agencies. Neither party has the will to do that. Repubs don't want to be seen as the party of dirty air and dirty water.

When otherwise intelligent people, (engineers), are incapable of seeing that sweeping EPA regulations in regard to CO2 output, will have a direct impact on their lives, jobs, and businesses, I just don't know what to say. By the time they realize that this is a direct assault on them, it will be too late; the laws will be in place.

There is nothing going through congress now. Aside from a few things that don't really matter, virtually everything that Obama is doing, is going around congress and through his various regulatory agencies.
