I've heard some funny things about the "save the world crowd".  It was in the context of liberalism, and how they don't care if it makes no sense at all, is counterintuitive, dishonest, illogical......they just want to be part of something that makes them part of "caring" or "helping".  I guess that's how they don't care about the obvious BS of AGW, or everything Obama says.....like the truth is just an inconvenient impediment for feeling good about "saving the world" somehow.

It's a lot like the polls right now.  Huge %'s say that virtually everything is wrong, yet Obama's popularity is strong.  It's like people aren't rational enough, or can't be bothered, to connect Obama to anything real.   Like he's their favorite sexy soap opera character, and they will not allow him to be connected to the disaster that he's created.

Worst part is that this has always been a liberal condition.  But in the last 10 years, the GOP RINO's have rushed to compete for "saving the world" and "caring and loving", even if they have to be as full of s**t as the liberals.

Yeah I totally agree, I don't know if you listen to Dennis Prager, but he explains this very eloquently, I will try and formulate what he explains good. The left is all feeling based. It feels good to support Obama because he is black, that means no matter what happens, policies I support, or statements I make, as long I support a black president I'm not a racist. The democratic party cares about people and is progressive, that means that by supporting democratic party i'm a caring modern progressive person and leaves me free to pursue selfish endeavors because my conscious is free.

Ever wonder why leftists usually don't volunteer for charity? It's because they think their opinion is more valuable and contributional than actually doing charity work.

The metaphysical world is more important than the real world, theory is more important than facts, it doesn't matter that the policies Obama is pursuing doesn't work because the intentions are good. Democrats/liberals are the most racist people you will ever meet (except their national socialist comrades) yet because the rethoric sounds good then it's not racism.

Remember what the leftist said about Hermain Cain? He was not really a black man.. who else but racists and leftists would say such things?

About the GOP RINO's, its no wonder the GOP is loosing election when they believe they have to get more liberal in order win liberal votes, when only 30% of the eligable to vote population voted for Obama... The RINO's are incompetent politicians which will divide the right in the USA and keep letting the left win.

Good post.  I only want to address one point.  Maybe it's just me but I can never understand or wrap myself around the idea of how supporting this clown makes one not feel like a racist.  I've heard that mentioned numerous times since he was elected.  As much as I have pondered that, I just don't get how.

If I was a racist, I wouldn't be voting for this guy by any stretch of the imagination.  If I wasn't a racist then why do I need to validate myself by voting for him?

It's not about Obama. It's about the collective notion that A) Whites share a collective guilt over slavery. and B) Voting for Obama will finally erase that guilt. Both are lies.

Since my ancestors came over from Europe after slavery, I suspect I just don't feel guilty and if I did, I would be wise enough to realize that voting for a con artist like Obama wouldn't erase it.

I just can't grasp the mindset but obviously it's out there hence Dear Leader.

It's like the lib attracted to men, but they claim they're straight fighting for civil rights.
I'm not a racist, I voted for a black guy, when in truth, they voted for his white side.
Libs can always find a way to lie to themselves.

And the rest of us have to suffer the  repercussions of those lies.  As I said elsewhere I'm ready to move into Mark Levin's underground bunker and the hell with everything.   I'm am literally that disillusioned with the country and what I see the future holding.

Now you know why I live, where and like I do.
It doesn't matter what state you live in when the Fed is getting stronger and stronger, so I'll just bunker down in Ca and weather the storm best as possible.

I certainly do.  Hell I'm stuck in NJ but hopefully will be relocating to NC.  However, not soon enough.

This whole blind, illogical, dishonest liberal thing also manifests itself in the "locusts" phenomenon.

They wreck a city or state, then decide that it sucks so much because of their efforts that they have to move somewhere that's not yet a liberal cesspool, then immediately get to work demanding and pursuing the same crap that wrecked their previous home.

All the poor states / cities surrounding CA, IL, Seattle, NYC, DET, Denver come to mind.

It can only make sense in the mind of a 14-year-old.

It's definitely not just the white guilt thing; that could be a pretty small component, actually.

In liberal circles, Obama is a king of kings. This country has never seen the likes of him. Some people find his Marxist qualities to be worthy of worship.

Bob Beckel comes quickly to mind.

I like the guys who laugh and giggle, and say "yeah, he's da man !!!!", when Obama is caught lying, cheating, and stealing.

They're proud that he's a TALENTED cheat, and that he gets away with it most of the time.

And that folks, is the end of the republic.
