Title: We're in trouble now for 2018. Dems unveiled their foolproof plan.

I'm not sure how we can overcome this brilliant political strategy.

QuoteThis week, Congressional Democrats released a detailed tax hike plan that they promised to implement if given majority control of the House and Senate after the 2018 midterm elections. So much for the crocodile tears about the deficit--Democrats want to raise taxes not to reduce the debt, but rather to spend that tax hike money on boondoggle projects.

As you might expect, hold onto your wallets. Here are the details:

Increase the top marginal income tax rate from 37 percent to 39.6 percent. This nearly 3 percentage point increase in the top personal rate is not only a hike in the top bracket levy, but it's also a direct tax increase on small and mid-sized businesses. The 30 million companies which are organized as sole proprietorships, partnerships, Subchapter-S corporations, and LLCs pay their business taxes on their owners' 1040 personal tax returns. Hiking the top tax rate is a small business tax increase.

Increasing personal income taxes would be particularly unfortunate since workers are now seeing the results of lower rates in their paychecks. Thanks to the new IRS withholding tables, in February of this year over 90 percent of workers saw higher take home pay in the form of fatter direct deposits (for a humorous spectacle of the New York Times desperately trying to get people to down-talk their bigger paychecks, click here). They will continue to see those bigger paydays for as long as the tax rates in law remain in effect. This higher tax home pay is a down payment on a lower tax liability. Typical families of four should see their federal income tax decline from $2000 to $4000, depending on their income level and number of children.

Why not. Look how successful Walter Mondale was with his strategy of raising taxes.

The dems were infantilized and lobotomized by the siren's song of Obama / Clinton, that they would never have to do anything but lie cheat and steal their way to their next big title, and their next 10 million (or billion) bucks.

Now that they're back to needing to compete for something, they're lost.  They last thought of saying or doing anything intelligent, 9 years ago.  With all their 90-year-olds and communists and no-shit mentally ill, they really can't do anything now, until they shed about 30-40 of their top people.

When I read the headliner I thought it had something to do with Trump getting impeached for something like banging stormy daniels in a Russian Hotel and sending bith Putin and Kim Jong Un a video tape.

Reps lost a seat in PA last night that was solidly rep. Yea, i know, it means  nothing. We will see  in Nov. Tax cuts and a great economy arent stopping the dems energy and  historical trends. Dems  in charge  of  congress will be a disaster.

On a side note, are rep voters the dumbest people  on earth? No matter what Roy Moore may have done was it worth electing a far left baby killing liberal? In PA the dem fooled enough idiots into thinking he will be a  conservative.

It is not a positive and it should be a reminder. We must have good candidates. We went through some of this in 2010 and 2012 when some winnable elections were lost because we did not have good candidates.

Now, let's take a look at this particular race. The dems won because they ran a republican. He is a veteran, prosecutor, photogenic and lied he would not support Pelosi. How many of these can the democrats find and run? The republican was not an attractive candidate. With PA redistricting this seat was going to be lost in the fall anyway. It will be interesting to see how he votes once he is seated. Leopards do not change their spots and Pelosi will have him under her thumb.

It was a  big  margin rep district  in 2016 regardless of the fact it will be gone  in 2018. Trump won by 20% in 2016 and  in little more than a year 20% went poof.

Say what u want about the DEMS. They play to WIN and don't care how. They are experts at VOTER FRAUD while the RINOGOPe just complain about it and as usual do NOTHING. The AMERICAN FIRST folks complain but at least try and do something about it even though their President called off the committee he created to stop or at least try to stop it. It will cost the AMERICAB FIRST people in 2018 and possibly in 2020 if TRUMP is not impeached by the DEM Congress elected in 2018. Hope I am wrong but just look at the special elections leading up to 2018. VOTER FRAUD will be the catalyst that changes Congress????

Oh, cut the crap! This race was way too close to make any claims, to do so is based in ignorance.
The former Rep he was replacing left the party in disgrace, had campaigned as a Christian against Abortion, then got caught pressuring his girlfriend into an abortion.
Saccone ran on the same values, was pretty much a weak candidate and did a poor job of campaigning, even when Trump came out to support him, Trump couldn't find much to support.
Add to that, the Dim party went into debt pushing this 'make or break' race, this kid is to be a poster child of the face of the "New Dim party", so they target Saccone, knowing he was a weak candidate.
The Dims ran a 33-year-old Marine veteran that kind of looks like a young John Kenedy, and he is just the first of his kind, the Dims plan on running a bunch of former FBI and CIA agents, Obozo leftist lackeys.

This race was in no way, any form of a referendum, the RNC/GOP dropped the ball here, and the Dims seized the weakness in the party.
I'd say McCON-nel deserves more blame for his loss than the DNC gets credit for a single win.

I really hope you are right Solar but i am still worried about the midterms. This is like the 3rd special election they have won now. Their message and their approval are absolute crap, so they must be refining and utilizing their voter fraud backup plan. That weaponized voter fraud will be the death of us in more local elections, and even in PA it comes down to just a few hundred votes. Ill sleep alot better at night once their voter fraud scam has been blown wide open...

All because the gop'E refuses to part with the millions they've gotten from their crony donors. Remember, the gopE hates being in the majority, they can't blame their supposed failures on anyone.
Add to that, the DNC out Conservative the party in the Saccone race, they actually campaigned to the right in this race, it shows just how willing they are to lie to win.

Lamb ran as a republican because he had no record to point to as being otherwise. Now if he doesn't govern as he promised, he is a one termer. Also he was up by quite a bit and he still hasn't squeaked it out yet. They both ran as pro Trump but Lamb was more charismatic. No big deal here.

Still up in the air??? Voter Fraud will bring LAMB across the line. Why is the weak candidate Saccone in the race to begin with. Use to live in the Burgh and know there are better R candidates than him. Why??? The guy he replaced was a RINO. Murphy was a Dem and had been running under the R label for years. His district is all steel, coal area except for Mt Lebo and Upper St Clair area of Allegheny County. Washington, Fayette and Westmoreland counties are all coal and Steel plus  support industries and the dumb asses are still voting D as TRUMP is putting them back to work??? As bad a Saccone is he still should have walked away with the election???? Something not right here but the PUBBIES want to LOSE and this is a start. The RINOGOPe, DEMS want the DEMS to win the midterms and have TRUMP impeached and that just might happen.

Special Congressional Election in Pennsylvania Still Too Close to Call, Outcome Hangs on 3,200 Absentee Ballots

With all but two out of 593 precincts reporting, Democrat Conor Lamb clings to an 847 vote lead over Republican Rick Saccone in the special election in Pennsylvania's 18th Congressional District.
Lamb has 111,875 votes to Saccone's 111,028 votes, according to the Pennsylvania Secretary of State's website as of 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Allegheny County's absentee ballots are included in that count, but the absentee ballots in the three other counties in the district have yet to be counted: 1,195 in Washington County, 1,808 in Westmoreland County, and 203 in Greene County, for a total of 3,204 absentee ballots yet to be counted.

The democrats are missing one crucial point. Trump would veto any such legislation. So these halfwits are willing to risk the midterms by announcing they plan to pass legislation that is less popular than leprosy even though it has no chance of becoming law.

And none of them realize this?
