Option 1: Accept Sunni and/or Shi'a Caliphates forming in the Middle East with a larger degree of muslim on muslim violence, and perhaps at some points a larger degree of Muslim unity as well. Expect massive graves, expect many dead bodies on any side that tries to interfere. And expect a radioactive Israel. If we try to maintain the status quo, then intervention by the US will perhaps save Israel, but will cost us billions of dollars for no real gain. It would only serve to increase the cultural and political divides within our great nation and might lead to a further degradation of our international political will. And if we decide to pull out of the middle east altogether, then there will be mass killings on every side, Israel will probably flee and become a government in exile, and most of the death will actually end up being muslims killing other muslims.

Option 2: Begin expansionist policies in the Middle East. While not as politically attractive as Option 1, by creating territories in the middle east we establish an undeniable sphere of influence. While more expensive in the short term, it is the least expensive option in preserving the state of Israel. Instead of selling quite as many weapons to other nations for the next few decades, instead funnel most of those weapons into these 'military governorships' in order to arm these political bodies to the teeth. All police in such areas shall be military police, and full search and seizure without due process will be par for the course until such bodies of land and people can decide to ratify as states. Any act of terrorism, unless the populace turns against those that commit and conspire for terrorism, shall return a province to marshal law and shall revoke any granted states rights. Only by full cooperation of the populace (a populace hopefully given an influx of Anglo and Latino Americans by way of immigration) can such provinces become full states.

I believe that if we encouraged immigration from the 50 states to these new provinces, we would see a massive exodus of disenfranchised peoples within our borders, especially if we remove welfare and instead use that money for immigration incentives. Immigrating people that only burden our local economy can only serve to better ourselves abroad, because generally when placed into fire even coal can create a diamond, and when placed in an unusual environment, given the needed money and moral purpose to start a second chance, especially that close to a universal holy land, and you will see the most seemingly useless of people spring to life in a great chaotic flurry of human activity. Overall Option2 will help both our economy and our public image. Only if we wish to see a very expensive and unfortunate future for US involvement in the middle east should we continue to pussy foot around the Status Quo.

Whenever I read the title of the original post, I can't help but hear it in a Hulk Hogan voice for some reason.

"Whatcha gonna do?!? Whatcha gonna do, brother?! When American Imperialism, runs wild, over you!!!"

I was thinking more in the line of brother Al Sharpton.
People sleep peacefully at night because there are a few tough men prepared to do violence on their behalf.

A foolish man complains about his torn pockets.

A wise man uses it to scratch his balls.

Do they dictate everything you write, or are you allowed to pick the subject?
