I'm guessing that the Russians are a bit worried, because once we run our country and economy into the ground, all we have left are stock piles of big nasty weapons. They know where that leads.

Nah! I think they are counting on it! They know that there is no "bang without the buck". With us economically crippled, they will be free to move into Western Europe the way they wanted to after WWII and we won't be able to lift a finger to stop them.

If we become economically crippled, we will become one of the bad guys. We will use our military might to take what we want.

It's another reason that the course we are on is so damned scary. With no one to bail us out, we will do what is necessary to continue our survival.

You have a might low opinion of your fellow man.

I don't. I think if it gets that bad and the Elites in D.C. try something like that, we will take up arms and march alright, but we will be marching on Washington D.C. to exercise the part of the Declaration of Independence that says, "...when any government become destructive of those ends it is the right of the People to alter or abolish it..."

No. Not a low opinion. Just a realistic view based on human history. Desperate times lead to desperate measures.

If we are stupid enough to collapse our economy, nobody will be sending emergency rescue funds.

Isn't that from one of the documents libs claim is a Living Breathing Document, one that wasn't written in stone?

I'm ready to dismantle this one, and it has nothing to do with Left or Right, both have ruined it equally.
Although the leftists are the ones trying harder to dismantle it, only for their own selfish reasons.

I can see I'm in one of those moods this morn, maybe I should go back to bed and get up on the leftist side of the bed, from my side, things aren't looking so good this morning.

Jim Demint jumping ship isn't a good sign. It tells me, that he thinks that conservatism within the republican party is a lost cause.

Uhhh, Hello!!!
That's exactly the message he is sending!
He said he can do more for the Conservative movement in the private sector than he ever could as a Representative.
Which is why I am glad he made this move, it opens him up for a Presidential run in 2016.

As an independent.

I've got a theory on why the republican party is kicking conservatives to the curb.

I've been confounded by their behavior lately. It's not pretty, but here's my guess................

With Obama's extremism, I think the republican party is in the process of repackaging themselves as Clinton democrats.

I think their assumption is, that by doing so, they will appeal to moderate republicans, fiscally conservative, (blue dog), democrats, and that they will automatically have the votes of conservatives, because they will have no place else to go.

Nothing about this is good. I could see a conservative party being born, but winning any national elections is a slim shot at best. Paticularly as the bulk of democrats remain united. Any democrats that stray, will stray to the reborn liberal republican party.

With or without a third, (conservative), party, the prospects for conservatives don't look good at the moment. Not a lot of choices. Getting the RINO's out before 2016 is critical.

I believe that to be true, but not so much part of a plan, but who these people actually are.
Think back to the 80s when Newt neutered the Dim party and the libs jumped ship and nearly swamped our boat.
Well, we never fully recovered from that nightmare, they watered down the party and called it the Big Tent, a Kinder, Gentler GOP.

Were now stuck with the aftermath and a bunch of RINO in key power positions.
I believe we can flush the toilet and start with a new tank after another mid term cleaning.

I hope so. I'm not going to be surprised though, if these liberal republicans become darlings of the mainstream media.

Work is well underway to paint conservatives as a wacko fringe group..........................the GOP is helping the effort.
