Britons suffer 1,158,957 violent crimes per year, which works out at 2,034 per 100,000 residents. The U.S., meanwhile, has a rate of 466 crimes per 100,000 residents, which is lower than France’s, at 504.

Pay special attention to his point about most US violence happening in urban areas with population over 250,000, and how the US has 150 of these types of areas compared to England's 30 for example. It occurs to me that with it's size and population the correct comparison, isn't with one European country or another, but with all of Europe, the entire area west of the Urals. Has anyone ever done that comparison?

I wouldn't be surprised if the ban included doctors as well....

We should also ban hands inthe united states.

The US has more Documented serial Killers than any other nation on earth.

Their "weapon" of choice is manual strangulation, (garotte) battering, (use of bludgeons) poison or drugs (to incapacitate the victim) and sometimes a knife.

The only Serial Killer to have exclusively used a firearm was one of the only female serial killers documented, Eileen Wurnos who used a (stolen) pistol.

You're forgetting (at least) David Berkowitz - the Son of Sam. Although he claims that his first two victims were attacked with a hunting knife, police have not been able to connect Berkowitz with the attacks and it is not even clear that either victim died.

All of the rest were shootings.

And, of course, there is the "Texas Tower" shootings of Charles Whitman but, of course, strictly speaking that was a mass shooting rather than a serial killer.
