https://www.theepochtimes.com/netizens-complain-about-high-costs-after-chinas-retaliatory-tariffs-on-us-made-drugs-medical-equipment_2931758.html

Quote
After the U.S. government increased tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods to 25 percent from 10 percent, China retaliated with tariff increases on $60 billion worth of U.S. goods.

According to the tariff list compiled by China’s Customs Tariff Commission, nearly 100 U.S.-made pharmaceuticals, medicines, and medical devices from the United States are now subject to added duties.

Chinese netizens expressed outrage, noting that many are life-saving drugs for critically ill patients. For some drugs, there are few or no alternative products made by Chinese pharmaceutical companies.

Among the drugs and medical products slapped with 25 percent tariffs are human insulin for diabetes treatment; leukotriene for asthma treatment; adrenocortical hormones, used to treat a number of illnesses, including acute infections and autoimmune disease; and radiocontrast agents used to enhance the visibility of internal structures in X-ray-based imaging.

Audiometers, which are devices used to measure hearing acuity; blood pressure measurement instruments; and dental X-ray instruments are among products under 20 percent tariffs.

Trump is kicking the shit out of China.

Can you imagine the panic that's taking place in the commie party? They just installed Xi as a lifetime ruler, they literally trashed their own Constitution for a dictator.
They actually thought they had the US by the balls, then Trump comes along and castrates the commies as they're left holding a pair of paper balls that used to belong to the Establishment, in other words, worthless paper.
God this is great theater, watching as the communists are crushed. Their plans for a world dominating military just got flushed down the drain because we just cut off all their funding so they'll be forced to deal with the disgruntled out of work citizenry demanding change. I expect riots.

You know, I've been hearing by the smart people on China that they think their US counterparts misled the Chinese on Trump's political will and that he'd break and give in.  I now wonder if any of that was intentional disinformation to China to get them this far to reneg on the deal and get themselves this far into an unfuckable situation.

While the anti-globalist wave is sweeping the world, let's not forget India.  Their pro-business candidate "stunned" everyone and shoc.... well, you know the script by now.

NEW DELHI/AYODHYA (Reuters) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi scored a dramatic election victory on Thursday, putting his Hindu nationalist party on course to increase its majority on a mandate of business-friendly policies and a tough stand on national security.

His re-election reinforces a global trend of right-wing populists sweeping to victory, from the United States to Brazil and Italy, often after adopting harsh positions on protectionism, immigration and defense.

Official data from the Election Commission showed Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party ahead in 302 of the 542 seats up for grabs, up from the 282 it won in 2014 and more than the 272 seats needed for a majority in the lower house of parliament.

That would give his party the first back-to-back majority for a single party since 1984. Votes will be fully counted by Friday morning.

Modi was showered with rose petals by some of the thousands of cheering supporters who waited for hours in a thunderstorm for his arrival at party headquarters on Thursday evening.

China is so effed...

Voters are heading to the polls for the European Parliament elections.

Seventy-three members, known as MEPs, will be elected in nine constituencies in England, and one each in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Each region has a different number of representatives based on its population - ranging from three MEPs in the North East and Northern Ireland to 10 MEPs in the South East.
