Due to the fact that Democrats are unwilling to change our very dangerous immigration laws, we are indeed, as reported, giving strong considerations to placing Illegal Immigrants in Sanctuary Cities only....

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Friday to uphold the Trump administration's policy to make asylum seekers wait for their court hearings in Mexico, rather than stay in the U.S.

Just out: The USA has the absolute legal right to have apprehended illegal immigrants transferred to Sanctuary Cities. We hereby demand that they be taken care of at the highest level, especially by the State of California, which is well known or its poor management & high taxes!

Oddly sending immigrants to sanctuary cities would be a godsend for them.  They'd be with family and have opportunities to work, move, etc etc.  I'm not sure anyone is thinking this through.

"With respect to border policy, the status quo is morally incoherent. Either the rich countries of the world should embrace fully open borders (perhaps with exceptions for certain kinds of criminals), or they should enforce land borders just like the air and sea routes."

You act as if we WANT them to suffer. They are humans too you know. We just want them to be sent back home so they stop hurting our culture.

I'll Pres Reagan answer, a man head and shoulders above our current president.

"For one, we very much need in any *immigration bill - we need protection for people who are in this country and who have not become citizens, for example, that they are protected and legitimized and given permanent residency here. And we want to see some things of that kind added to the immigration bill."  Ronald Reagan

"Illegal immigrants in considerable numbers have become productive members of our society and are a basic part of our work force. Those who have established equities in the United States should be recognized and accorded legal status. At the same time, in so doing, we must not encourage illegal immigration."  Ronald Reagan

Here's the problem, you weren't alive during that time, you're posting words of a time the context no longer fits and the POTUS was fighting his own party as well in hopes of getting a compromise and build a fence along the border.
Both party's agreed to build the fence in exchange for Amnesty, Reagan begrudgingly accepted and signed the Bill stating a fence would be built. Guess what happened?
They'd lied, they never funded it.

Funny how you only quote Reagan when you think it suits you, and even then you take him out of context to fit your narrative.

Much of the "immigration" during Reagans time was from people fleeing COMMUnIST regimes who were running amok in Central America, South East Asia and other parts of the world.

And whatever he may have SAID about immigration there was a decided policy of enforcement by the Ins.....There was an Ins agent assigned to almost every major police dept in the country, including mine. Very easy to deport criminals in those days. This was the mid 1980's through early 90's.
