Welcome to the forum. At one point I did not favor a federal balanced budget law because I felt national leaders needed flexibility in case of national emergency. However, the politicians in Washington of both parties abused their responsibility. I am not sure we can ever put the toothpaste back in the tube now.

This is normal in the marketing world, but instead, what the GOP has done in the past, is to offer the best deal they can right from the start, then let the left whittle away until the left gets what they want.

I know it is unrealistic that gvt ever give up taxes but frankly i wld support flat sales taxes to replace personal income taxes. Isnt that more inline with the duties and tariffs that the founders intended to support the gvt?

I'd love a flat tax. This would allow people to actually see just how much is being stolen from them at every purchase, and assuming it was a flat 10%, it would keep the Fed within its limits on spending.
The beauty of a flat tax, if you're poor, you can literally avoid paying any taxes, assuming food is tax exempt.

I expect to see trade wars, foreign policy disasters, a few race riots, a decrease in personal liberty, higher taxes, higher inflation and probably, economic collapse. The silver lining is, secession will probably become more feasible.
