Your thoughts?

Trump? Congress? WTF? This is Déjà vu on the OMNIBUS Bill.

As I understand it, what passed was an "outline" for the next two years. CR's will still be required to actually fund the government. It is more Washington semantics.

I don't like the fact that they slipped in a new Bill, one, it appears, had not been vetted by the constituency.

Thought it was amusing, it's not an appropriation bill, the continuing resolution covers that...(into late march).
All the did was pass a budget bill, which as mentioned is a guideline...or wish list.  It did lift the caps on military
expenditures, however, that's just a guideline for future military appropriations.

They made their bed and then they set it on fire so they never have to lie in it. We are at a point where no matter what they do the deficit and debt will continue to rise with every budget under every administration. It has now become a political weapon. Every time one side brings up a bill the opposing side does not like the opposing side will claim it can't be passed because it adds to the debt.

Tax cuts do not add to the debt. Spending does. The only answer is draconian cuts to the federal government overall with the emphasis on entitlements. That is the only answer and few in DC want to acknowledge it.

Big chunk goes to the Military which was pretty much gutted under Hussain.  Say what you will but rearming and refitting the US Military should be priority one considering a nuclear Iran, the Chinese tear assing around in the South China Sea and the little fat guy from North Korea.

Defense stocks would be a good buy right now in light of the recent stock market bounces.

Defense contracts mean jobs.

That is the only real answer. Even Cruz signed off on this mess.
