"I will be nominating Christopher A. Wray, a man of impeccable credentials, to be the new Director of the FBI. Details to follow."

Christopher Wray - a partner in a litigation firm and Chris Christie's 'Bridgegate' lawyer - to fill FBI director vacancy
Trump said he would nominate Wray in a Wednesday morning tweet that came from his personal Twitter handle
Said Wray is 'a man of impeccable credentials' and promised more details soon
Wray is a partner at King & Spalding; he worked at the Department of Justice for two years as an assistant attorney general in the George W. Bush administration
He more recently served as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's personal lawyer during the 'Bridgegate' case
He  is almost assured to win confirmation in the US Senate where Republicans have 52 votes
Replaces James Comey, the FBI director Trump says he fired for bungling Hillary Clinton's email case and providing inaccurate testimony
Comey is expected to provide bombshell testimony to a  Senate panel tomorrow on his conversations with the president

Comey is expected to provide bombshell testimony to a  Senate panel tomorrow on his conversations with the president

i.e., Comey is expected to incriminate himself
for not reporting an alleged attempt to obstruct an investigation,
or for lying in his previous testimony that he has never received such pressure.

Neither of which I think will happen.

It's more likely that Comey will keep his story straight,
which will horribly disappoint the Dems.

No matter.  The MSM will still breathlessly report it as
"seriously damaging to the Trump administration."
Here are the 10 RINOs who voted to impeach Trump on Jan. 13, 2021 - NEVER forget!

The story is already written.

Good timing

Just as Comey is getting ready to serve up a "nothing Burger" for the Dems plate.

The fact that Wray is a WHite, Christian hetrosexual is extra added ahjiddah that will have them chipping their teeth for months.

Well, it didn't take long. Here are just a couple of headlines from articles:

"Comey will testify Trump told him 'I hope you can let this go' on Flynn investigation"

This is old news. Later on in his statement Comey said he did not think Trump was referring to the Russia connection.

"'I need loyalty, I expect loyalty' — read James Comey's explosive statement about Donald Trump "

Note the word "explosive" in the headline. In reality, any leader needs and requires loyalty. BTW, our old gay buddy Shep Smith just opened his show with this headline like it was a capital criminal act.

As I mentioned earlier the MSM has already framed the narrative.

Any Boss expects loyalty! Anyone not willing to give their full "loyalty" to the elected representative of the people should move on! Is there anyone here that if they were in Trumps position wouldn't make the same demand?

If I was Mr. Trump,
I would have fired Comey on January 20, or 21 at the latest,
just for what Comey did on July 5,
citing all the violations Hil-LIAR-y committed,
and then saying there should be no prosecution.

Of course, since there is no requirement to cite ANY reason
for the President firing an employee,
I would have never cited a reason.

That would have completely avoided the current brouhaha.
