Finally, a bullet to the head of Bull Shit Green Energy!

The Trump administration this week is expected to formally repeal the Clean Power Plan, taking direct aim at former President Barack Obama's climate change legacy and delivering a major win for the coal industry.
A draft proposal of the Environmental Protection Agency's looming decision, leaked late last week and posted online, says the plan — which would have limited carbon emissions from power plants and, in the process, drastically reduced the amount of coal-generated electricity in the U.S. — goes beyond the bounds of federal law and unnecessarily hikes energy prices for consumers.

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, as Oklahoma's attorney general, sued the federal government over the policy. He and others who took legal action contend the agency doesn't have authority under the federal Clean Air Act to enact such sweeping changes to how power plants are run.
"The EPA proposes to determine that the CPP is not within Congress's grant of authority to the agency under the governing statute. It is not in the interests of the EPA, or in accord with its mission of environmental protection consistent with the rule of law, to expend its resources along the path of implementing a rule, receiving and passing judgment on state plans, or promulgating federal plans in furtherance of a policy that is not within the bounds of our statutory authority," the agency says.

The document concludes months of review of the policy, which was to become effective shortly after Mr. Pruitt took charge in February.

Finally! Coal will never really come back but we still depend on it so why not let the industry flourish until we truly transition to another source.

True, so many plants were closed in that illegal move, but it was the bullet to the head of the Marxists plan of destroying American production that's most important here.
This will effect energy prices a little, not a lot, but it's the unraveling of the leftist's agenda of killing Western culture that will, in the end add up to more prosperity.

Remember when the Marxist stated, "Energy prices will necessarily skyrocket under my plan".
Well they did, and the economy and American people paid heavily, now it's all being undone.

I don't know about being undone, as I have yet to ever see "Energy Prices" come down.  Right now diesel is back up to what it was 2 years ago in my area. (3$ a gal.) Even higher in Seattle.

Unfortunately, these coal fired power plants that shut down, can't just be restarted next week, or next month.  The whole industry has been transitioning to Gas Fired Turbines.  Maybe a better thing, because they can be brought online quickly to meet demand peaks... and, they're being spread out instead of concentrated & few in number.

But, that isn't slowing down the Marxists from flooding the airwaves with anti-pipeline commercials.  They don't want America to become a net energy exporter... why think of what that'd do to Communist countries!   They'd lose all their leverage against Ukraine and other struggling anti-communist countries!   Next they'll be protesting new power transmission lines.

Eight years of Obama, trying to wind down the American economy, and then THIS:  we elect a POTUS who has the gall to make a slogan, "Make America Great Again".

Like the left's push to kill off the incandescent bulb in favor of CFL bulbs, only to discover they were toxic pieces of shit, and quickly replaced by a free mkt choice, the LED.

The left is all about societal collapse, they claim to be "Progressive" change, when in fact, the free mkt will always decide the final outcome, assuming these Marxists don't kill the golden goose first.

Sometimes the federal government pisses me off. (I know you had no idea...  ) The incandescent bulb ban was one of those times. It put me SO much in mind of the R-12 freon ban. Just bullshit. Leftie greenie bullshit.

I still have 100-watt incandescent bulbs I stockpiled years ago, enough to last a very long time. And I am PROUD to say that I have NEVER bought a CFL bulb, and I never will. I hate the damn things. It's good to see LED prices finally coming down a bunch, and new designs that put out a more "natural" light. THAT is the market in action, and it's something I can get behind.

Arrrgh! The list is endless with leftist Green Bull shit! Add to that, Halon, best damn fire killer known to man, or here in Ca, where they outlawed the single neck on a gas can, now you are forced to buy a piece of shit that not only is dangerous and spills more gas than ever before.
Our Leftist Legislature was in bed with the lobbyists that pushed it through, even wrote the Bill for them, all in favor of a single manufacturer with a patent, and boy did the Marxist Dims ever get rich off of that shit and still are.

It also proved that the only thing that can make alternative fuels viable is the free market. They believed they could force the issue. That, if they destroyed the coal industry solar and other forms of energy would be forced to become cheap and widely available.

Trump is doing all he can to undo Obama's  policies. If Congress was doing as  much as Trump has we would have a  massive sea change.

Yea they are. A good example  is Corker handing the Iran deal to Obama.

.... and protecting Obama's legacy, slow walking Trump's agenda, keeping as many regulations in place as possible.

Imagine if all that was reversed.
