Trump Jitters - rock Coulter...?

I still love Ann Coulter ...  she's intellectual porn for me.  I love to hear singlehandedly take apart Liberals, cutting their hearts out like a surgeon.   ....and had this feeling, she wasn't really *that* far away from Conservatism - she was just seeing the discontent clearer & more concise than most of us can.

If Ted Cruz had taken Trump's tact, zeroing in as Trump did on American discontent, we might be saying, POTUS Cruz today.   Trump is just a better bare knuckle fighter - and he won.   We don't like everything he's doing, -but- sure like the progress of overturning the multitude of last minute regulations Obama put in place.

Guess who's getting a little squirmy lately?  Yup, it's Ann Coulter.   Here's an interesting, condensed interview, please take a couple of minutes and read it, maybe you'll agree, she's not that far off the reservation... and has a bit of buyer's-remorse settling in.   Like most of us, she wants Trump to follow through on his promises.

I admire her lack of tact with Liberals, and frank honesty, we could use more like that in the news media.

So, the question, still haunting us:   Can or should we continue to trust Donald Trump to promote Constitutional Conservative cases, or is Trump beginning to "slip" into the Democrat mold we're too familiar with?

I wouldn't expect anything Conservative from Trump, EVER! But if we get a crumb here and there, we'll accept it.
Trump's always been a lib, though the party may have left him, he never really left the party as a 60s Dim.

So far we have gotten more than I anticipated. His border positions and support for law enforcement is encouraging. His appointments have been pretty good. He is not dedicated to maintaining GOPe ideas and that is good in my book.

Yeah, kinda odd, he's given us some pretty good stuff, but the stuff promised on the campaign trail has not come to fruition.

I think part of his problem is he had no idea how corrupt Washington is. GOPe is not going to help him and probably looking for ways to throw him under the bus.

Absolutely!!! All he really knew of either party was from a Dim perspective, where hobnobbing with elite leftists was how business was done, he had no clue that his every move had been planned way ahead of time by backroom Dim/commie members.

Must have been a shock to discover he never actually deals one on one with the GOP like he did as a civilian, nor can he seem to grasp the fact that they have been routing him since day one.
I really can't blame Trump for some of his failures, those are a direct result of leftists in the GOP.

I hope he figures out the only republicans that probably have his back are members of the "Freedom Caucus".

As a business man who had to deal with politicians, I believe he knew how corrupt they were. As potus, he can not sweeten the deal with donations. Now he is finding out they are also spoiled, arrogant, grandstanding,..........in addition to corrupt. And when both sides of the table are spoiled, arrogant, grandstanding... it makes it really difficult to make a deal.

Ann Coulter's ability to rush a hasty decision into print is exceeded only by her ability to backtrack once she says something and then reverses course (or, in this case, tempering her early zeal for Hairzilla).

Da puppy-love, it be broken.

She's not really alone, though. Here at CPF, I've seen many early leaps to back Thus-And-So, over this-'n'-that...and then that same person changes and raves over someone else. What's disturbing is how fast Annie leaped, to begin with. I may not like a "troglodyte" whose opinion never changes, but I mistrust even more some will-of-the-wisp who can't restrain that opinion until more facts are in.

It's no sin to mistrust a loudmouth in a truly great suit.

By all indications, our Founding Fathers (there! sexist language!) knew damned well the foibles and avarices of the average scumbag legislator. At the time our Constitution was finally made into law, the Founders did everything they could to install checks and balances.

They institutionalized gridlock. Gridlock is good when liberals can't control spending. It's even better when Republicans can't, as well, but we can't have everything. What we can hope for is they get all their powder wet, or use it up before truly important fights arise.

I like how Coulter ripped Mike LEE for wanting to be liked by dems by pushing a liberal for FBI director. Now MacConnell is pushing for Garland as well.

Don't be fooled by any of this, it's pure politics and Coulter has a direct line to the Establishment. The "E" Whore does as instructed.

Its Lee pushing for a  liberal, not Coulter. Perhaps the "E" fits him pretty well.

Like I said, it's politics and we're nowhere close to understanding the minutia going on behind the scenes.
If it upsets Coulter, then in my book, good, piss on the bitch, she sold out Conservatives years ago.
