Another brilliant people judgement move by our POTUS.  Mittens will be the first one to vote for his IMPEACHMENT.

Trump supported Mitter when he ran for POTUS.  Actually, Mitter's touch back plan for Immigration is far more conservative than Trumps. (all illegal immigrants would have to go home and then apply for legal immigration at the head of the line).  Mitter was also right about what he said to Obama during the debate; that Russia was our greatest threat (Obama mocked him ad said "The eighties called and they want their foreign policy back).

I'm no a fan of Mitt Romney, but I am honest enough with myself, to recognize the things Romney supports that I agree with.  He'll be a shu-in in his Mormon state even as a carpet bagger from New England.

Trump works with anyone he feels that can help him and doesn't let personal grudges get in the way of business.

What a Maroon
Now, more than ever, I hope Mitten loses so Trump won't pull such a boneheaded move ever again by backing a squishy.

Indeed.
As the days morph into weeks and months; Trump, who I voted for, exposes himself
as one who is utterly incapable of discerning character; a prerequisite of leadership.
Spicier, Scaramouch, Sessions, Manafort, and the rest of those buffoons are mute testament to that reality.
Romney, another establishment fraud and hustler, will vote Trump down in a flash.

Trump is a pragmatist and he will work with anyone who will help him achieve his goals.

Trump was not my first choice or even my second choice.  He became my default choice in order to beat the HildaBeast!  Over time, I have come to appreciate that voting for Trump was far better than just to stop Hillary.

As I said, I don't like Romney.  I never have.  I think he's a phony.  However, not so long ago, most of the people on this site were all in for Ted Cruz and the same things I just said about Romney, really could be(and were) said about Trump.

I think that Romney will win in Utah and become their junior Senator. (Mike Lee will have seniority).  Unless we like in Utah, which I don't, we really don't have much of a say in who their choice of Senator will be.  Given that, it's best to appreciate the things that this guy does support that I have no problem with.  I think this is why Trump has endorsed him.  You don't allow personal anonymosities to get in the way of business.

No but your morals should guide your right from wrong when voting.

I don't live in Utah, so I have no vote in who they chose to be their Senator.

My morals wouldn't allow me to vote for him if he were running in New York.  Well, then again, I'm not so sure.  If it were a choice of getting rid of Chuck Schumer and replacing Schumer with Romney, I might have to hold my nose and do the RIGHT thing!

Billy's bayonet

These guys crack me up. They change like the weather, one day Mittens is screaming at Trump, the next day Trump tweets something un flattering the day after that they are assholes buddies. Who knows what kind of back room deals are in the works between these too. NEITHER ONE BECAME EGA RICH BY BEING STUPID.... Mittens bluster (thats like an orphans fart in a windstorm) might be all show so the "never Trumpers" and the Marxist Party will back him. One thing we know Mitty doesn't have much of a spine, talks a good game, once he get the the position, he'll run his mouth and shake Trumps hand behind closed doors.

I think I figured out why Trump reached out to Mitten.
The most plausible thought would be if Trump had not endorsed Mitten, the LSM would claim it was a vote against Trump.
Second is, when Mitten wins, Trump can claim it was due to his support. Yeah, Mitten will win, the only candidates running are RINO, so the people are leftist without option.

This might be strategic. If Romney is favored to win the last thing Trump needs in the senate is another McCain with a grudge.

Trump may be many things, some good and some not so good; yet one
trait resonates like a gong; his desperate need for attention.
Leaders have no such need as their achievements precede them.
