Trump supported Mitter when he ran for POTUS. Actually, Mitter's touch back plan for Immigration is far more conservative than Trumps. (all illegal immigrants would have to go home and then apply for legal immigration at the head of the line). Mitter was also right about what he said to Obama during the debate; that Russia was our greatest threat (Obama mocked him ad said "The eighties called and they want their foreign policy back).
I'm no a fan of Mitt Romney, but I am honest enough with myself, to recognize the things Romney supports that I agree with. He'll be a shu-in in his Mormon state even as a carpet bagger from New England.
Trump works with anyone he feels that can help him and doesn't let personal grudges get in the way of business.

Unless we like in Utah, which I don't, we really don't have much of a say in who their choice of Senator will be. Given that, it's best to appreciate the things that this guy does support that I have no problem with. I think this is why Trump has endorsed him. You don't allow personal anonymosities to get in the way of business.

I don't live in Utah, so I have no vote in who they chose to be their Senator.
My morals wouldn't allow me to vote for him if he were running in New York. Well, then again, I'm not so sure. If it were a choice of getting rid of Chuck Schumer and replacing Schumer with Romney, I might have to hold my nose and do the RIGHT thing!

These guys crack me up. They change like the weather, one day Mittens is screaming at Trump, the next day Trump tweets something un flattering the day after that they are assholes buddies. Who knows what kind of back room deals are in the works between these too. NEITHER ONE BECAME EGA RICH BY BEING STUPID.... Mittens bluster (thats like an orphans fart in a windstorm) might be all show so the "never Trumpers" and the Marxist Party will back him. One thing we know Mitty doesn't have much of a spine, talks a good game, once he get the the position, he'll run his mouth and shake Trumps hand behind closed doors.

The most plausible thought would be if Trump had not endorsed Mitten, the LSM would claim it was a vote against Trump.
Second is, when Mitten wins, Trump can claim it was due to his support. Yeah, Mitten will win, the only candidates running are RINO, so the people are leftist without option.
This might be strategic. If Romney is favored to win the last thing Trump needs in the senate is another McCain with a grudge.

Man do not understand the logic??? Mittens will be worse than McCain, Graham "etc". TRUMP endorsed McCain and that worked well. The only thing he might want to do is run a third party candidate supporting Trump to siphon votes from Romney like Romney did to him in 2016. It wouldnt be wise because romney would still win.

I think that the smart money is on Romney winning the Senate seat in Utah. Whether we or the President like it or not, Romney is quite likely to become the junior Senator from this state. Trump needs every vote he can get in the Senate. Sometimes this means working with individuals who one would not otherwise choose to do business with.
If Kim Jung Un would give up his ICBM program and nuclear weapons and one of the conditions was an improved relationship with the US. What if this required a committed such as the one we have with Cuba, that we will not invade Cuba or seek regime change? Even though the guy's a mass murderer and thug, wouldn't it be in America's best interest to make such a deal, even if it meant giving the guy a state visit that we knew he'd use for propaganda purposes so he could save face and pretend that he was the peace maker?
I don't like Romney. I never have. However, even some RINOS have their useful contributions to our agenda. Probably 90% of Senator Romney's votes will be along party lines. Furthermore he will be the junior Senator and Mike Lee will be sitting in the cat bird's seat. The Senate is all about Seniority and with that comes power!
