Trump needs to start delivering now rather than later. To submit to the DEMS now only gives them leverage in the future.  I'm sorry but, if Trump was such a great negotiator he wouldn't have backed down on Bammycare as well.  Obviously time will tell, but so far, he's sinking his own ship by softening on the very issues that got him elected and it will negatively affect the GOP in the 2018 mid terms.  We certainly cannot afford to lose the Senate, especially since the the nuclear option was needed to get Gorsuch in.  Trump is playing right into the DEMS hands...why?
Trump is trying but the Dim's are fighting with every dirty trick in their bag. How many appointments have not gone through the senate? How many EO's struck down by activist judges?
I understand that part of the deal will help fund the Border patrol expansion and increase our border security. Maybe the republicans can push through a separate funding bill to at least start construction.
One of the things that is at least as important as starting the wall is to put forward 120 good conservative names to fill the federal court vacancies! This should be the real priority! 20 of the vacancies are on appeals courts including the 11th circuit in California!

What makes you think the GOP wants a wall? They don't, they've never wanted one, ever!

Trump proclaimed Ryan's bill as one that should be passed even though it did not REPEAL Bammycare like Trump promised.

I agree Trump did get snookered by Ryan and now he is more involved. Trump should forever be gratified to the Freedom Caucus for saving him.

If that spending bill funds Planned Parenthood but not that wall, then it is we the people who got snookered, and Trump is a baby killing liberal after all.

Well...IMHO I don't think Trump get '"snookered" by Ryan ... I think Trump knew full well what was going on.  Certainly Trump knows the difference between not repealing and repealing.  He knows what he campaigned on.
Same with the wall ... you mean to tell me, that with a full majority in the House ... he can't negotiate funding for his #1 campaign promise??  At this point, I'm not buying it.  Granted there are RINO's who don't want the wall, but bottom line is that what got him elected. That promise is what kept the majority in the Senate and the House.  Yes, there are those who are out to see him fail, but ... I haven't heard him pressuring them or threatening them as he did the Freedom Caucus and others to fund the wall. Right now, I believe the 'wall' was used to simply get him elected.  I never was a Trump supporter and I always thought he was nothing more than a siphon for the DEMS.  I believe he appointed a conservative justice ... because Cruz openly and publicly made it known that Trump and he discussed the SCOTUS and they agreed to a list of justices ...and he also announced that Trump gave him his word. It was ONLY then that Cruz stated that he was going to vote for him ...Cruz saved the GOP and Trump's hide.

I get it. It is clear you do not like Trump. That is fine, but try to be objective about any president's ability to control leftists in congress on both sides of the aisle.

Trump is our President and I am very relieved that Hillary is gone.  I am being objective here.  The fact is we hold the majority and granted there are a lot of liberal idiots (RINO's and DEMS), but I don't see him trying to rally the troops; the Indians have circled the wagon and he's quickly and quietly surrendered.

Ok....so it looks like he just shot himself in the foot and also shattered hopes of retaining our majority in 2018.  :cursing: :cursing:

Trump budges on border wall funding, easing shutdown standoff

"........Trump told a group of 20 conservative media reporters Monday evening that he would be willing to return to the wall funding issue in September, two people in the meeting said. His earlier demand that it be included represented a significant impasse in budget talks, and the latest comments potentially could pave the way for a bipartisan deal just days ahead of the government shutdown deadline.

White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway confirmed to "Fox & Friends" Tuesday morning that the wall does not need to be funded this week, but she said it remains a "very important priority to [Trump]."

"Building that wall and having it funded remains an important priority to him, but we also know that that can happen later this year and into this year," she said.........

In the wake of Trump's border wall comments, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., welcomed the approach. "It's good for the country that President Trump is taking the wall off the table in these negotiations," Schumer said late Monday. "Now the bipartisan and bicameral negotiators can continue working on the outstanding issues."

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., also praised Trump's announcement, calling it "welcomed news given the bipartisan opposition to the wall.".............

If he is being praised by Schumer and Pelosi then apparently it's not the right thing to do. Build the damn wall! I see Mr. Cruz has come up with a plan to fund 14B towards the wall. Pass the bill and build the damn wall you hypocritical pussies!
You make me wanna roll my windows down and Cruz!
