PLO leadership has condemned a U.S. peace plan they have not yet seen and refused to engage with the U.S. government with respect to peace efforts and otherwise. As such, and reflecting Congressional concerns, the Administration has decided that the PLO office in Washington will close at this point. This decision is also consistent with Administration and Congressional concerns with Palestinian attempts to prompt an investigation of Israel by the International Criminal Court.
The United States continues to believe that direct negotiations between the two parties are the only way forward. This action should not be exploited by those who seek to act as spoilers to distract from the imperative of reaching a peace agreement. We are not retreating from our efforts to achieve a lasting and comprehensive peace.

"We have been notified by a US official of their decision to close the Palestinian mission to the US," Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) secretary-general Saeb Erekat (pictured) said in a statement.
"This is yet another affirmation of the Trump administration's policy to collectively punish the Palestinian people, including by cutting financial support for humanitarian services including health and education."
Just last June, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Attorney General Jeff Sessions were urged by lawmakers to close the diplomatic outlet, which endorses "flagrant violations" of U.S. law such as payments to terrorists.
In a letter, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) wrote that "the PLO office in the United States has existed and exists today in violation of U.S. law" and cited the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1987 as justification for closing the Palestinian embassy.
"Thirty years ago, Congress found, as part of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1987 ... that the PLO and its affiliates were terrorist organizations threatening the United States," Cruz and Ros-Lehtinen wrote. "Congress therefore prohibited the PLO, among other things, from establishing or maintaining an office anywhere in the United States."

The thing I love about hearing good stuff like this, is to hear and read all the babbling from the left, about how they've really got Trump now.
All the while he's just destroying them 24/7, on every front. They're losing the Obama revolution piece by piece, it's about 90% gone now. And just stocking up wins for the future, many that will be 30-40 years in duration.
Trump's doing real stuff, the left is just fantasizing 24/7. But they think their fantasies are really winning. What a hoot.

Which brings up a couple of questions, What's left to put in the obama libary? and since there is little of obama's time in the white house that will have any long lasting effect, does a library need to be built? A outhouse could hold his legacy with room to spare.
Maybe build the obama outhouse in San Fransisco and kill two birds with one stone, there is a need and it would get lots of visitors.

Oh yeah, mid 1990's HAMAS had an office above a Bank in Springfield Plaza. Back when FBI agents were really FBI agents not Political Gestapo, they used to have to do surveillance duty in the parking lot. They used to hate that assignment and usually got it because somebody was Pissed at them. Sort of like the Secret Service having to guard Hillary.
