I must admit I am extremely torn about this effort by the Trump administration. There is no doubt there is voter fraud in some, if not all states. However, it seems to me there are individual means to address specific states. Being a conservative I just cannot embrace the federal government having access to all this sensitive information. Can you imagine what the Obama administration could do with this information?

I'm OK with it because I'd assume they're investigating voter fraud, which overall will expose Democrats, but also because our information has been hacked, stolen, or whatever so often that it's not really exposing any info that anyone can obtain.  If our data was secure and the government wasn't getting breached non-stop, then I'd be reluctant, but our personal data is already in the hands of bad guys all over the world.

If Hairzilla stops his childish sniping at MSNBC halfwits and instead takes down the disgusting Clintonista hack McAuliffe, we'd all be ahead. Is this the left's line in the sand?

QuoteThe decision by Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe (D.) not to cooperate with a White House commission examining voting processes in federal elections comes after a year in which the governor circumvented the commonwealth's supreme court to restore voting rights for convicted felons and stalled efforts by the Virginia legislature to fight voter fraud.

McAuliffe announced on Thursday evening he has "no intention of honoring" a request for publicly available voter data made by the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, which was established through a May executive order and is being led by Vice President Mike Pence.

McAuliffe stated in his rejection that there is "no evidence" of voter fraud in Virginia, and that the "only irregularity in the 2016 presidential election centered around Russian tampering." He also stated his belief that the commission was set up as a "tool to commit large-scale voter suppression."

Meanwhile, the Donks are losing it, freaking out as never before that THIS may be the end of their constantly crooked elections....

QuoteVon Spakovsky, 58, will join the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, though it remains unclear what role he will take. The White House's Thursday night announcement, which included several other administration posts, did not provide further details. The announcement did not include any biographical information about von Spakovsky, either.

He said in an interview Friday that he does not enter this role with the assumption that voter fraud is a nationwide epidemic.

"I think the answer to that is what we hope to find out," he told The Washington Post. "What I would say is that I think it's a danger to the way our democratic system works anytime people are either kept out of the polls or their vote is stolen through fraud."

I am still little queasy about the feds having this type info. That being said I think we are seeing some positive fallout from it.

This short article reports about all the folks in CO "unregistering" to vote. Knowing much of the state has been invaded by illegals it is clear what is happening. Like all the self deportations it is clear Trump using his bully pulpit is very effective.

I totally agree, but it seems to be an independent commission, and something has to be done.  The way I see it is someone is finally trying to tackle it.  The data is available for purchase anyway, hence why I don't have as much of an issue with it.  They're taking the names, last 4 of SSN and states, and cross-reference this with the state rolls.  They found ~70k illegal votes in I think NC doing this, so it will be interesting to see it at a national level.  If someone moves from one state to the next, they typically don't cancel their previous registration -- which is when the Dem operatives come into play -- especially in states that don't require ID.

Sheer coincidence: a 1979 episode of TV's The Rockford Files focused on private collection of data, stressing there was no law preventing it from happening. Factually, more recently the states themselves sell this data --- and this story (linked) shows it's the same data the feds are requesting, but the suspects states aren't supplying.

Gee, if it wasn't Democrats it would smell like a cover-up....

QuoteFor commission members, the responses are hard to understand. "The reaction to this has been absurd," said Hans von Spakovsky, a former Bush Justice Department official, former member of the Federal Elections Commission, and head of the conservative Heritage Foundation's Election Law Reform Initiative, who is now serving on the Trump commission. "The commission is asking for voter registration and other information that is publicly available. Not only do all of the political parties buy this information routinely from secretaries of states — so do candidates."

It's true. Just look at, say, the Department of Elections webpage in Terry McAuliffe's Virginia. The department lists "client services" that include the purchase of voter lists. To candidates, parties, campaigns, and "members of the public seeking to promote voter participation," the state of Virginia will sell:

Registered Voter List (RVL) and Newly Registered Voter List (NRV) — full name, residence address, mailing address, gender, date of birth, registration date, date last registration form received, registration status, locality, precinct, voting districts and voter identification number.

Want the data in slightly different form? Virginia also sells:

List of Those Who Voted (LTWV) — full name, residence address, mailing address, gender, date of birth, registration date, date last registration form received, registration status, locality, precinct, voting districts, voter identification number, election date, election type, and whether the voter voted in-person or absentee.

For another example, look at the state of Maine, which has also refused to cooperate with the commission, but which by law spells out the types of voter information it will sell. . . . Notice that much of the information for sale in Maine and Virginia is similar, if not identical, to the data requested by Kobach. Many states have similar provisions. Which raises the question: If voter information is for sale, why is it a matter of principle to refuse to provide it to the Presidential Advisory Commission on Electoral Integrity?

McAwful would be a great test case for a Federal Indictment over voter fraud issues. This guy is so universally hated in Virginia I wouldn't doubt that dozens of Va voter commission people would come out of the wood work in the counties that comprise the people's republic of Northern Virginia and the Soviet States of Richmond and testify.

We've been signing petitions for a recall on various issues but it doesn't seem to go anywhere. Unless we get Cuccinelli reinstated as Attorney General for the State or get him in office as the Gov. McAwful is said to have buried the bones on the paper trails real deep, shredders working overtime.

I am sure he has memorized the Clinton, Inc. handbook.
