Skimming through this POS, I have to call bull shit, due to the authors conspiracy to run fast and loose with the use of facts to make nefarious connections.
EG. Mike Nesmith's mother invented White Out typing correction fluid, Mike inherited her fortune.
You can see a timeline of his early years here, and Wiki, also has a breakdown, but neither mention Laurel Canyon.
My point is, the author saw conspiracy at every turn, including negating the fact that nearly all able bodied men went to war, so to claim all these Military brats turned on the system is pure BS
Fact is, the USSR played a huge roll in morphing the Hippie era into the drug craze it became.
