Why else wouldn't they want Military personnel armed on state side bases or recruiting offices when there is a demonstrated threat?

Thought certainly has crossed my mind. I do believe the left has flirted with it. If we fail to get a conservative in office in 2016, the situation may well turn desperate.
Even at that, a Bush would spell big trouble.

-------------------------------------------

On account of the unknown "deception quotient," an accurate assessment of Barack Obama is probably impossible, though one of those crafty ol' Human Resources directors who have seen it all could probably get close. I am talking about Barack's qualities and abilities as a manager and a leader. Granted, it is no surprise that all Washington and New York suck up to him.

Conservatives remember what most Democrats would prefer to forget. That's Ross Perot's memorable comment that Bill Clinton would never rise above middle management at ADP; that ADP would probably not hire him.  In retrospect, what insight! Well, that's Ross Perot, businessman and patriot.

My guess is that the same would apply to Obama, with additional stipulations. In the real world, he is best suited to an environment of very limited diversity, and very steady and predictable challenges. I don't think Barack Obama, on his merit, could hope for much more than a line foreman on a mostly  black post office crew.

Fortunately, for Barack, the field of politics to the rescue. But it gives pause to wonder how many young and mid black people look at Obama and say to themselves, "Gee, I should be President."

With the Democrat's lineup they are running a third Obama term.

Remember what *B.S./B.O.'s Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel said on TV in 2008 after the election:  "Never let a good crisis go to waste."

When there's no crisis, they manufacture one.  An economic collapse, perhaps?  Race riots?  A combination of the two?  Or more?

They could carry out the crisis just before the election to make it impossible to hold an election.

Then, B.S./B.O. would "reluctantly" stay in office "for as long as it takes" to restore order.  How magnanimous of him.  Of course, true order would never occur.  There would be frequent raids on "dangerous extremists" - those "radical conservatives" who insist on outdated concepts like the Constitution.  Don't they know that we're now "too enlightened" for such archaic concepts?

Actually, I suspect that it's more likely they'll try to get someone like Jeb! elected to lock in the "progress" B.S./B.O. has made.

As for B.S./B.O. himself, he could go the way of other washed up Democrats (like former Ohio Governor Dick Celeste) and get a cushy job at the U.N. headquarters.  I could see B.S./B.O. even being selected as the next Secretary General!

You can bet the farm that's who they want running, only because they know the base will stay home.

QuoteBehind a garden modeled on Monet's, Jeb Bush addressed a lawn-full of chief executives and hedge-fund managers at an East Hampton, New York, estate Saturday morning. While the candidate is no stranger to courting wealthy donors, this time was different: about half the attendees were Democrats.

"This guy sells well," said Kenneth Lipper, the money manager and registered Democrat who hosted the event, after Bush left. Virtually the only one who left without writing a check, Lipper said, was a buck deer that wandered past the group assembled on the wooded grounds.

The wealthiest donors are playing an unprecedented role in the early stages of the 2016 race. For the first time ever, most candidates are raising more money through super-PACs, which can accept donations of up to $1 million or more, than through the traditional campaign accounts that are capped at $2,700 per donor.

I could see that. It would be a good place to park his useless ass.  He'd want to fly in from Hawaii, though.
I will say this, though: The United Nations gets, has got,  a basic free ride from the critics. As much as we go on and on about UN global rule, the world's true power hitters regard and will always regard the United Nations as a pitiful bunch of little third world blow hards, skipping on parking tickets.  The endorsement of the Iranian nuke deal was typical. Note how all the libs are saying, "The world supports Obama on this!"
Like I said, a joke.

Yes, he would love to take his Chicago styled "governing" to the U.N. ....... forcing his agenda on the entire world.

I'm not sure how much longer the tenure of this Secretary will last, but I could see the entities involved in selecting the next Secretary considering Obama based upon his slick oratory skills..... and ability to deceive the Nations at large.  But they would be making a pact with the Devil himself!

BTW, I don't think he intends to use his Hawaii home as a full time residence.  It is too far removed from the "action".  It will be his vacation home..

That's why he would be their first choice!

Andrew Wilko did a humorous impression of Bernie Sanders today on the radio that was off the cuff and hilarious, Sanders, holding up Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, as our role models, after being asked, "What exactly is Socialism?"  Sanders corrected him, "Democratic Socialism." Sanders is the fool on the hill who should have stayed put.

Scandinavia is not socialist, if it were I would not be able to post on this forum, have my own property, freedom of speech and vote for my right wing party (that is currently in government). Welfare is as part of Falangism and Fascism as it is part of Socialism.

Scandinavia is plural corporatist if you want to use the correct term, I thought he was supposed to be a professor or something.

The little Marxist is dreaming if he thinks the nation would tolerate a third failed term.
But if he tried to steal a third term? Civil war would break out, the rule of law would collapse in our society, especially since he broke the biggest one of all, stealing an election via Martial law, because that's the only way he could delay the inevitable.

Telling it like it REALLY is Solar.  The only thing we can really trust is our nation of truly patriotic people.  Neither branch of our government, neither party in the Congress and certainly not the majority of the supremes can be trusted on this one.   If none of these have surprised you yet, I am shocked.  Obola has taken everything that his agenda is calling for and I'll not be surprised when he tries to flip the Constitution on this one.  The idea of a Civil War will then become the reality of our time.  That reality is becoming clearer with every stroke of his mighty pen.
