Title: The Republican was mocked for bringing it up during a debate.

Mitt Romney Knew About The Brewing Mali Conflict Before You Did

After France's military intervention in Islamist-controlled northern Mali over the weekend, the North African country has become a hot topic in the news. But one man was introducing the problems in Mali to a mainstream audience before most other politicians and commentators: Mitt Romney.

During the third and final presidential debate, which focused on foreign policy, Romney slipped in an aside about Mali that attracted some derision on Twitter at the time, but now looks wise in retrospect.

He could be 100% right and the setup that was the 2nd and 3rd debates will make it 'never happened'.

I'm still totally amazed that a 'moderator' could lie blatantly to protect Obama from the Benghazi truth, interrupt and shout down Romney, and wave a blank piece of paper pretending it's a document that proves that Obama's "the winner" on the topic.

This is straight out of the Soviet era media, or Saddam's Al Jazeerah....but not a peep from America about it.

Romney was "out of touch", but in retrospect much more informed than Obama on economics, foreign affairs, religious / social issues, and so on.

How's that for hilarious.  The guy who was infinitely sharper and more experienced in ALL sectors......lost.

This was truly the election of "irony".   I didn't like Romney for one reason...he seemed to lack the instinct to go for the kill and he underestimated how proficient Team Obama was on that score.

In terms of governing, Obama couldn't carry Romney's jock strap.  Obama is an empty suit.  And if the rumors are true he's Mr. Empty Pants as well.

Hussein Obama skipped his intel briefings for months.  When Romney was cleared to receive briefings during the campaign, Hussein coincidently started to attend them.

Proving again he's a follower not a leader.  There has to be some price his "persona" has to pay in order for him to do anything.  He's all about appearances.  All flash no substance

Actually it was noted by many - just not the MSM. It's along the lines of how Biteme was supposed to have "won" the VP debate in the Media, whereas all the public could talk about was his unseemly behavior.
