As an ametuer conservative 10 yrs ago I wld have easily fallen for this, demanding gvt regulate Social Media(SM), making it a publicly managed space. Now however I have seen with my own eyes the miracle of the invisible hand of capitalism and know of its power.
I will still demand gvt do something, but that something has changed from wanting the gvt to take over SM, to wanting gvt to throw SM back into the pond of the market place the way we used to teach kids to swim by just throwing them in the water.
I want gvt to allow faceplant, twatter, gaggle, youboob, to be exposed to the pressures of competition, and that, I believe, is the magic pill that will fix SM overall, allowing other SM companies to challenge the reigning kings. If I was a betting man I wld bet that more open conservative companies would take their places, and this would have the added effect of further expanding the marketplace of ideas on SM, thus creating better dialogue among americans in general.

Another point I just thought of. Are private media companies allowed to lie? And i dont mean the truth streaching all advertisments conduct. I mean strait saying one thing and doing another.
Because while they absolutly have the right to censor conservatives, do they have the right to lie about it? And if they were forced to admit the truth by the courts then their market shares would bottom out completely.
