Title: The Obama legacy: An assault on the Bill of Rights
Post by: blades on December 26, 2016, 08:00:04 AM
The following article is for information purpose only and does not necessarily reflect the views of the OP

The Obama legacy: An assault on the Bill of Rights

The Bill of Rights is a barricade protecting Americans from their government. Part of President Obama's legacy will be that he inflicted damage on that barricade, eroding freedom of speech, free exercise of religion, the right to bear arms and the right to due process.

Through his political arguments, executive actions and political leadership, Obama has taken some of the holes punched by previous presidents and made them broader or more permanent.

This means that after Obama leaves office, people will be more easily silenced, killed or disarmed by their own government. Obama is leaving behind a public less protected from state power.

Ya know what's truly the saddest part in all of this? It was preventable via our Congressional Representatives, the very people we elect to protect our God given rights.

I live in a closed primary State, which gives me say in who moves up in the party.
It was open primary States that forced Trump on us, so you may want to reconsider your vote next time.

So, let's see, you've tarred all conventional candidates calling them liars and thieves, yet you refuse to say who the honest upstanding candidates are. Do you know how shady that sounds?

So I'm now a brain-dead sucker?

You do realize Cruz, Lee and many other fine Conservatives have an (R) before their names, right?
My Congressman entered the game as a lowly candidate, had to use an (R) just to be seen on the ballot for a seat on the Assembly.
I read his bio, liked what he said so I voted for him, he soon ran as Senator, then for Governor against Arnold, later ran for Congress.
Point is, had I not been a registered Pub, I'd never had the privilege of supporting him as he rose through the ranks to become one of CR top (A) rated Reps. That Congressman is Tom McClintock.

Point being, we need to promote true Conservatives up through the ranks so we can steal the party from the leftists, and you can't help if you're part of the problem.

He is a perfect example of someone that was once a solid lib, got burned by the party, jumped ship to claim LIBertarian status, and never once understanding the difference in Pub and a True Conservative.
If he actually had solid principles to anchor with, he wouldn't be all over the map trying to cover for crap he said earlier.

If I would have voted for Cruz...which I would have...it would be because of his understanding and respect for the Constitution...The R would have been a drawback..In other words I would be voting for the Constitution not a man or party.

the suckers are the ones that only vote for the D or R and who the person is is irrelevant.

Hell, I'd even vote Dim if it meant killing a leftist RINO's future career in the GOP.
In fact, I did promote one over Boner and McConnel when they were up for reelection.
This kid just doesn't get it. It's not (R) or (D), it's the individual, and not voting because he thinks it emboldens the party is just silly.

In this day and age all an (R) or (D), will get you is more recognition in moving ahead.  The R and D is not the party's of 65 years ago.

But taking a wild guess, you voted for Johnson, the former RINO of the GOP?

If you bothered to pay attention, those so called word games were me pointing out sloppy thinking on your part. Also, me pointing your attempts to move the goal post.

For example, you asked me what made one of my sources arbitrator of the truth.

Well, intellectual honesty, which states you treat all sources of information with like standards begs the question: What makes your sources of information arbitrators of truth?

Your question is a made up bullsht question that has nothing to do with what I said..

Of course I could ask you why you would just make something up like that...but I won't cause I know the answer.
We're done. Take a hike, go back to your idiot bimbo site and whine to her about the big bad Conservatives kicked you to the curb.

Solar didn't make the question up, he deduced it.

You: I don't vote for liars and thieves
You: I didn't vote for Cruz
Therefore: By your reasoning, Cruz must be a liar and thief
Hence Solar's question

See how that works

You are exactly correct, which is why he's been banned for good this time.
He had no interest in debate, the moment he came back, he restarted his nonsense with a mod. That's about as bright as playing Russian roulette with a full mag.
