Mrs Obama has worked with the USDA to change school lunches and in many cases, disallowed lunches that are brought from home.

Now we are looking at heavy taxes coming on the foods that bureaucrats have determined that we shouldn't eat.

Mrs Obama and her ilk have gotten their grubby mitts into our business, despite overwhelming evidence that she is a liar. Despite the fact that she is a liar that is cut from the same cloth as her husband, the government has no business controlling what we eat through taxation or anything else.

What's happening?

I'm no constitutional scholar, but is there anything in there that grants the power to the government to determine what we should eat, and then tax us into compliance? :confused:

I know you know, but the answer is no. Any powers not listed belong to the state and local governments and with the people--the feds are supposed to be limited.

It doesn't seem to me like every one of these glaring abuses should have to go through the supreme court.

Sure they do. They don't care if we are fat or healthy, but each one of these acts of terrorism against our constitution is designed to make sure that we are dancing to whatever song they are playing. They want our money, but almost more importantly, they want to have us under their control. Each time they pull something like this, it's another step toward herding us into the government pen.

Things like this really get under my skin , Its in no way shape or form the governments danm buisness what I put in my childs lunch !! I called it years back when they started going after the smokers , I said to people who said they didnt care at the time because they didn't smoke, I told them "you may not care right now because its not your group there going after but when its some one saying you can no longer eat hamburgers or drink soda because the "Government" says there not healthy and they use "tax" to enforce there will " .

I wonder how much money it would save if we were to shut down the institutionalized government bureaucracies that supply us with these rules? Somehow the thousands of government workers that come with these programs are never included in any cost analysis.

They have placed us $16 trillion in debt, and they have the damned nerve to tell us that smoking and junk food are a financial burden on society. :angry:

Nah, they will say they've raised taxes, but then put in more loopholes for their hollyweird buddies. Dems know they need lots and lots of money to bombard TV audiences with negative ads during campaign seasons, so I doubt they want to piss off their money source.

So, I can only assume that the Obama administration no longer cares about jobs since the rise in food prices at restaurants due to taxation and because of the cost of Ocare should eliminate whole chains.  Way to go libs, way to help the economy./snark

How about the libs get their hands out of the cookie jar and maybe just maybe things won't get worse.  The Obama administration has the anti-Midas touch, everything it touches turns to excrement, no wonder they are convinced global warming exists, the excrement is getting awfully deep.   :thumbdown:
