The Latest Trigger, Cognitive Priviledge
« on: August 02, 2017, 06:08:22 AM »
When the leftist talking point of "You Didn't Build That, Govt Did" failed, they have a new one to make libs "FEEL" better about themselves.
Folks, ya can't make this shit up

Maybe they just realized they weren't as smart as they thought they were when the entire nation rejected their SJW bull shit along with the entire Dim party Marxist agenda?
Nah, that would require critical thought.

This thread reminds me so much of Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" story written in the 50's.

General Summary: The ruling class (politicians) identify that no one is special -they teach that it is society under government control that has brought all the good to life and individuals should all be treated the same.  Then the doers find a way to disappear and everything breaks down. While it is breaking down, the ruling class demands that people step up and fix those things that are breaking. But the true innovators and those who understood how things actually worked were gone.

Great story and exactly the current message of the left.

Ayn had it right but one detail wasn't quite true. The innovators of our society can hardly go anywhere else on this planet. But they can be crushed under the weight of politicized science to impede their ability to pursue actual truth. An example is how global warming is politicized and funded then researchers flock to the topic because they want the funds and results are "filtered" to increase the funds they are awarded ... by the govt. ... full circle. Those who don't support the politicized truth get no funding - have to do their own research and will not make it into the primary academic publications.

If the libs get their way, many of our citizens will have no choice but to go on the govt. dole. At that point you basically get the same effect as in Atlas Shrugged.

The problem is that the Dims and RINOs are moving us that way. But we still have the Conservatives (including TEA) that fight to limit government.  We're built to create and some have it in their natures - will go underground if they have to. Einstein was an example as his culture basically turned on him (both academic and political) and he had to find another path to release the great truth that he had individually recognized / discovered.

Good comparison using Ayn's works.
