Excellent article.

Romney already said it, you can't win against free stuff in today's ignorant and uninformed society. Why work when you can laze around at home on unemployment benefits? Who doesn't want a free phone? Who'd say no to Obama money? These guys live in a utopia where money grows on trees (in this case right out of the feds printing machines) and that the government will take care of them forever and ever.

I believe most of the young generation today is lost to this kind of believe system, years of socialistic indoctrination has finally paid off. The decline is inevitable, but the demise can still be preempted by educating the right values of individual empowerment and taking personal responsibility, and hopefully turn the country back in the right track slowly but surely. If the teachers won't do it, then the onus is on every parents to instill these values.

But this is the crux of the problem, the left has done all it can to destroy the family oriented society. This is textbook Marxism. Marx wrote that the family is a prison, and that the rearing and education of children should be an undertaking of the society, can anyone argue that this sort of thing has been going on in America for the past 50 years in increasing increments? Children are indoctrinated by the public schools into thinking a certain way, believing certain things, having certain values. The family has been completely marginalized, you are taught that if your family doesn't believe in progressive values that they are probably backward neanderthals and need therapy or education.

I don't think the demise can be preempted, we are traveling in a herd and only a minority understand we are headed for a cliff. This minority doesn't have the means to convince the rest of the herd that we are heading towards destruction. Those intent to run off the cliff will run off the cliff, I want to separate the herd, pull the significant and vocal minority out of the herd to avoid our demise. You can't win this by playing the game by their rules.

And the reason why children can be so easily indoctrinated by public schools? Because most families have both parents working full time, instead of spending enough time with their kids. Not all are like that of course, but certainly the case for a greater majority where kids spend most of their daytime in school or daycare as parents go to work. The problem can still be fixed IMO, it might take a while but not impossible. As long as there are enough people willing to educate their own children to not be hooked on entitlements, there is still hope. It's an uphill battle, but not yet lost!

And if people chose to remain ignorant, maybe they will be forced to change when everything goes to the crapper.

Yeah it was a great read and oh so true, but one thing that really pissed me off about this writer. He mentioned everything under the sun. The black voter, the woman voter, the hispanic voter, the union voter, etc etc, but for some strange reason or another the writer "FAILED" to blame or mention the Jewish voter, and we all know Obama received 70% of the Jewish vote.

I'm still confused on that one, oh wait a minute, I see it now the writer is Rabbi Steven Pruzansky a Jewish writer.

Rabbi I so agree with your article, but please sir take the tree trunk out of your eye before you try and take the splinter out of our.

I think that there's a possibility that things could turn around faster than we think.

If the foreign governments that are currently loaning the US money, all of a sudden decide to stop, or call in their debts.........................the game is over. Our government will either face reality or print us into hyperinflation. Whoever happens to be in charge will be universally hated by the citizens. They will have complete ownership of the economic collapse.

I believe this scenario could easily unfold within the next 4 years.

What is going to have to happen...unforturnately...is somebody is going to have to go without a paycheck until people wake up.

I've said it before and say it again...we are going to end up fighting in an effort to resolve this whole mess.

This is my fear exactly. When the trough is empty, the swine trample underfoot those they believe owe them their feed.

Our rulers possess the deadly combination of ignorance and arrogance as their two guiding principles. There are the ignorant who don't know how wealth is created and enact incompetent policies as a result, and then there are the arrogant who spend much of their lives as professional students, immersing themselves in the theoretical and are so proud as to think that they have the knowledge and ability to govern effectively with no real knowledge of how the world works.

Unfortunately we saw just a glimpse of the chaos that can and does result from such things as  weather disasters.  This kind of chaos is further escalated by civil unrest, such as what we are experiencing now with a divided nation.  Any problems we have are not going to be solved by further enslaving the people and that is exactly what is happening.
