Lousy example. One state vs 50 is no comparison, especially where the Fed is looking to usurp the power of the States Right of protection and Independence.
JFK was not looking to use the NG as a weapon, rather quite the opposite.

Our Nametapes on our Multicam Uniforms have our "Real" names (in some cases earned nicnames, and our bloodtype and some guys have their former Military Rank in smaller patch but everyone starts at bottom (recruit) and goes through vetting & training through the levels. The Ca Militia nametape & patches are to delineate us from NG or Shasta County Swat or other LE who wear Multicam ...

First, your math is a little off. It would have been one stat vs 49.

Be that as it may, you are also buying into the Left's Revisionist history.

Many states opposed school integration, including some Northern states. Wallace was the only one with the guts to actively oppose it.

I think I can saw without fear of contridiction that if the President - especially a Democrat President - were to nationalize all of the state's National Guards, or simply tell them to stand down, there is not a Governor who would oppose him!

Yeah there is some truth to what you are saying re the average American slug. But do you really think it is going to be a situation where you have "bands of guerillas hiding out"

I don't, at least that is not how I would plan to fight, rather than line up shoulder to shoulder in some Napoleonic style or 'hiding out in the country' a more likely scenario woulld be a down and dirty type of thing with more specific targeting of Enemy 'leader' and politicians assassination, ambushes etc, dead bodies thrown out of cars. The crap would hit the fan when they tried cracking down on this sort of thing and started shutting down the internet, restricting travel, withholding food and shutting down utilities to punish the "rebels".

Then again I think Hussein would likely try and employ a "counter revolutionary" force made up of thugs and criminal aliens to ravage America, as I am quite certain any army or police force would be severely divided and mostly against him..

Funny thing is most of those actions I see happening in the Blue states and in areas of the purple states. The funny thing is that most red state governments and Sheriffs will back their own people so I would expect then to be rather Quite! The really noise will be in Liberal controlled areas like New York that for years have had their foot on the neck on almost half the population in the upstate region.

See the Dems control the inner cities, the Police Depts are LARGELY occupational armies who live in the suburbs and commute into the hell hole everyday.

Back in the day most of us couldn't afford to live in DC as Mayor Barry decreed, it is definitely the same in New York City, CHicago, LA etc etc.
