Yes, it's almost a split between takers and producers, and the producers are many.
People think just because business left Ca, that it took Conservatives with them, but nothing could be further from the truth, many Conservatives are self sufficient and or retired.
It was the support staff/grunt labor that left with a lot of industry. Just ask Texans what they think of all the Californians that flooded their state.
The same thing happened to Ca about 40 years back, East coast libs flooded the South state and the Bay area and infested local govt.

There's a reason the GOP'e sticks us so far out at the end of primary season, they know who their constituency is and don't want us effecting the race, especially considering it's a closed primary, 173? delegates, and a winner take all.
So if they thought we were a bunch of moderates, sympathetic to the Establishments cause, don't you think they'd move us up to Super Tuesday?

Of course they would, but we're not, we're Conservatives that actually were the first to experience the damage done by the GOP'e and their willingness to sell us out to the Marxists.

You've never heard of Tom McClintock? The state is packed full of some of, if not most, of the Conservatives in politics, problem is, the GOP'e stifels them at every turn.

As I see it any stifling was permitted because CA cons SHOULD have infiltrated that sorry gaggle at the county caucus levels, to the terrifying point where RINO jocksniffers can't draw a full breath. Nationally, your state's GOP is seen as being just as liberal as Michigan's. The true conservatives aren't heard from much up in Lansing, but then again, that way they don't get blamed for Flint water or requested to resign like that blithering jackass now in office.

That's what they did and are still doing in S.C.  Take a look at the Beaufort/Bluffton area.  Overrun with NYC/NJ transplants and their liberal politics as well.  Cruz was swamped in Beaufort County, if I recall.

Most people leaving CA were businesses or employees following them.  Texas enticed businesses to leave here because of all our idiot laws and taxes.  They also offered people less taxes and more affordable housing.  I know several people who left CA for TX and they were not liberals.

Our demise began when the leftists Gerrymandered the voting districts. At that point they had the GOP by the balls.
Despite the party politics, solid Conservatives come out of Ca, more than any other state.
