These people are nuts if they think fast food companies are going to ever pay them that sort of pay.

Besides which, standing there flipping hamburgers and dropping french fries into the fryer, is not work that is worth 15 bucks an hour.

Oh and yes, I've worked for McD's in high school so yes I know firsthand what the job is all about.
One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)

I'm looking forward to more mechanized fast food service, will be much more hygienic too, maybe even lower the prices

So a bunch of these people snarl-up traffic and wind up getting arrested, requiring bail or fines-money that comes out of minimum-wage checks...you just KNOW the unions won't pay THAT bill...and who really winds up the loser? Once the job pays enough for unions to muscle into, will these people be that much farther ahead after paying the vigorish to these gangsters?

The Chamber of Commerce, the nation's most powerful business group, produced an analysis that says more than 40 of the full-time employees at SEIU headquarters make less than $15 per hour — the same amount that the union says should be the minimum for fast food workers.

I agree, I'd prefer less human contact, from fingers in the cups, to sneezing on the food, something machines are incapable of doing.

This is just another idiot brigade that goosesteps after the blind partisan rhetoric of the left. They run after this crap with a pie in the sky dream of getting it and everything else staying the same.  If they get it the price of fast food will skyrocket and they will price themselves right out of a job. Who wants to pay fine dining prices at a Burger King?

Come to think of it, these people have been on a health kick for a while now. Maybe they are looking to rid the country of fast food like this, by making it as pricy as restaurant food.
Deeper questions have often been the offspring of former answers.  knowledge, Wisdom and understanding demands it to be so.

Yeah when I see the bad lazy and unprofessional attitude of fast food employees I just walk right out, occasionally you get the ambitious manager types that micromanages everything in a fast food place to perfection though, when we get that service it becomes the go to place for fast food in my friend circle.

In Norway the fast food employees earn $22/hour, but after income tax it's $14/hour  (Be careful what you wish for liberals  )

One big mac menu cost around $25, so people usually only eat at Mc'Donals in weekends. The busiest working periods are in the night, Norway have a very hard drinking culture that makes the Irish look like Muslims (We are Viking descendent after all) and it's nothing as profitable as running a fast food joint with 30-40% of the adult population drinking themselves stupid in the city ordering biggest menu's possible, usually multiple times and buying food for the guy next to you because he has the same jacket or a t-shirt of a band you love  :tounge:

What really gets me is these morons claim to care, but they don't give a damn about the employers of these people. They have no idea how much work it took to start up a company and the hours it took to make it successful.

What these clowns fail to acknowledge is that the corporations have very few "company" stores. The franchisees are small business people who made significant investments into their business. They do not have unlimited amounts of money to pay people more than their worth.

Coming to a neighborhood near you.
And I for one, welcome it. Granted it closes opportunities for those entering the job mkt, but maybe if we close the borders, kids can return to the fields doing an honest days labor picking and pruning.
