That's former White House communications director and hedge-fund founder Anthony Scaramucci, in an op-ed published Sunday by The Hill.
In a plea directed at President Donald Trump, who often calls the press the "enemy of the people," Scaramucci said the media, even with its imperfections, "is the guardian of individual liberty."
"The press may be flawed, it may offer bias, it may be self-righteous and sanctimonious and highly critical, but it is serving the exact purpose that the country's Founders wanted," he said.
Arguing that Trump's rhetoric is dangerous to democracy and scares off moderate voters, Scaramucci said Trump "needs to stop doing this."
"Mr. President, if you want to win again — and I am certain you do, and likely will — you need to stop calling reporters the enemy."
Media is the enemy of the people. Media is the enemy of Conservatives. Media is the enemy of Trump. Trump won without the media. He will probably win again without media.

Why?
First off they are not reporters. They are parrots. DNC subordinates. Trump can and should call out the media as long as they carry water for the democrats. As long as he doesn't go after them to try and stop them I want him to continue holding them accountable.
He said nothing about the press -- he's talking about the fake news. They are the enemy of the people.
The problem is not that the press is the enemy, it's that we're not properly categorizing our publications. Supermarket tabloids such as The National Enquirer, Globe, The New York Times, The Sun, The Washington Post, and Weekly World News are all from the same genre of print publication, and as such, are meant to be taken with a grain of salt.
Another problem is that several mainstream tabloid outfits (such as CNN and MSNBC) who make their materials available through mass media used to be engaged in real, fact-based journalism. A large segment of the population never realized that they changed their format.

My grandma is one of those who is still convinced CNN must be mostly fact based news, and I cant seem to change her stubborn old mind.

CNN and MS-MENAPAUSE were never credible, ever! Along with AP UP and any other of the so called news aggregating sites, they've always been leftist.
The problem has always been their monopoly on the news, and FOX, bless their heart, is in truth, an arm of the Establishment GOP.
The real news comes from the likes of the Blaze, Breitbart, Daily Caller. etc and a litany of other burgeoning news organizations.
Truth is, all of our news, up until almost a decade ago, went through Govt filters, and we know what our Govt became, the Swamp....
Anyone with a brain knows who Trump is talking about when he calls the media the enemy.
