President Donald Trump's lawyer set up a $130,000 payment to a former porn star one month before the 2016 election in an effort to stop the woman from speaking about an alleged sexual encounter with the president, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Michael Cohen, a longtime lawyer for the Trump Organization, was reportedly the architect of the $130,000 payment to Stephanie Clifford, a former adult-film start, in October 2016. Clifford alleges the sexual encounter with the president occurred in July 2006, when she and the president met at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe.

Clifford received the payment through her lawyer, Keith Davidson. The sum was sent to to Davidson's client-trust account at a bank in Los Angeles.

The president has denied ever having a sexual relationship with Clifford and the White House claims the story is nothing more than "old, recycled reports."

That's easier to answer than I thought... no I don't need to "check-er-out" to be sure.

I  realize that there are mostly men here and therefore I may have a different perspective...

Having worked in a field that was traditionally male for 20+ years I spent my career being the first and only woman in many companies.  Many men (not all) are very different when away from home than they are when they are at home.  They speak differently about women, including how they speak about their girlfriends and wives.  They treat women at work with less respect than they treat their mothers/wives.  When I entered their world it was always an uncomfortable situation for many of them.   I was an intrusion to the "boy's club".  In 20+ years I experienced just about every kind of harassment there is, verbal and physical.  Thus I am very sensitive when I see harassment charges being brought by a woman.

While I am happy that the world has changed enough to make it "safer" for women to speak up without the fear of being seriously reprimanded/punished while the man gets little more than a gentle slap on the wrist, I am not necessarily comfortable  with the onslaught of charges that have exploded as of late.

There are slimeballs in all genders.  There are women who will lie to achieve some goal.

As a pioneer woman in the business field I am LIVID with my so-called "sisters" who have come after me, using "harassment" charges falsely.  It is an insult for those of us that paved the way for them in a previously men-only world.

That is why this "Stormy" woman has earned my respect.  Writing that letter was the sign of a strong woman with a sense of integrity.  Ironic that a porn star is teaching integrity to real slimeball women.

Thank you, Stormy.  I don't give a hoot what you do for a living.  Your "Big Sister" is proud of you.

This is what separates real people from snowflakes. You own who and what you are, you take pride in what you've accomplished, you don't see yourself as a victim at every turn, then again, I've no doubt she rejected leftist doctrine by becoming a Conservative.

I find your comment about breaking into a man's world rather interesting, in that, as a man, occasionally a woman would enter my world/field of expertise.
Unlike Hollyweirds portrayal, it takes a special kind of woman to achieve acceptance, from being able to take a hit as well as give one, and by that I mean, a little innocent male ribbing.
Too many women don't realize that when a woman enters a predominantly male realm, that we feel pressured to change for a single person, that's why the ribbing initiation, to figure out who will be the one changing.
It's why, as you pointed out how we talk differently around one another as opposed to family and spouse, it's a form of venting, freeing if you will, sometimes it's a way of bonding with other males.
So when a woman figures this out and wants to be accepted and show she can ignore our Un-Pc style of behavior, they are welcomed to the club.
I could go on about men and our need to protect females and how today's males are being confused and how this also effects generations of employees mixing.
Definitely a fascinating subject for another forum and how govt is trying to force unnatural cultural change, for no other reason than to create division and strife and kill off Conservative male thought.

When my teenage daughter came home from CAP, crying, saying she was being teased - and never wanted to 'go back there again'...  she wasn't ready to hear me say, "You're playing in a man's world, expect it, or move on to something else."   and we talked at length about competitiveness in business, pleasure - how it's always "there", just boys are different than girls in the way they play.   We got a call from the squad commander, who was falling all over himself apologizing for his son's behavior, but, quit when I rehearsed the previous conversation.   He also agreed, BOTH sexes can be pretty darn tough on their own.  She went back, after a little while, decided she'd rather do something else...  since she's good in Math & Physics, she's having fun majoring in Engineering... meh., and with her artistic bent, I think she might have found the perfect mix of talents.   But, to be physically tough, going toe-to-toe with teenage boys, naaah, she'd need something like this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzVfzAel2Qo

Teenage boys haven't gotten to that, "Hold my beer, watch this..." stage, yet., like adult teenagers who revel in the grossness and perverted talk - a little experience makes them 'experts in all things sexual'  LOL.   ...but, boy, I gotta say it, women can be very graphic, they'll make a Don Won blush & cross his legs in embarrassment & fear.   Women know how to wield power in this world, men are just clumsy with it.  38 years of marriage confirms that... I'm in need of further training.   she says  :ttoung:

As for this lady and her letter, "Who the heck cares!?"   Somehow, President Trump (libs hate that) is worse than JFK who had sex orgies in the white house with under age girls?  Bill Clinton staining Monica Lewinski's dress?   IMO - it's anything to stop the Conservative agenda, and they're all lining up to take a shot, each one expecting to become a "hero" to their Liberal friends, "Oh, that's the guy/gal who took down Trump...".  If they CARED about America, instead of themselves, they'd be rejoicing over the success of President Trump (libs hate that), instead of trying to stop him.  It's TDS on parade, in the papers, radio and TV.
