Title: The Most Important Elections You Haven’t Heard About
Post by: walkstall on July 24, 2017, 04:22:26 AM
Where will the money come from.

snip~
Washington politicos and grassroots activists alike often overlook governors races, and that's especially true in the Democratic Party, which is years behind the GOP when it comes to investing in state races.

The party is down to just 16 out of 50 governors, the fewest in recent decades. It lost nearly 1,000 state legislative seats during President Barack Obama's eight years in the White House.

QuoteDemocrats have a very rare opportunity coming up to win when it matters most — if they can get their base to pay attention.

Pay attention to what? Russia?

Virginia is an open Governor race!

Yippie!   There's hope!

We can flip Virginia from Blue to Red!

The light is at the end of the tunnel!   :tounge:

Who's our candidate?

Wha....?  Ultra-low-energy, Ed Gillespie?  Is there a race he hasn't lost?

4 more years of Democrats, again.  :cursing:

Maybe he can win on the Green vote, just run as an energy saving establishment light bulb.  :woot:

Or a Bug Light, like a mosquito, he just keeps hanging around & getting swatted, election after election.  :bored:

But there's hope!   We've elected so many Democrats in Virginia, they're running out of candidates, so Ed has a chance!   Isn't it exciting!?  :woot:

      Are you serious, Hollywood made a MOVIE about these bodiless things?

Next they'll start making movies about video games, raiding tombs, and street fighters, and comix.

Completely ran out of original material.   :ttoung:

I don't know if you're familiar with Titans, an anime from Japan, but it's based off a comic book, quite the entertaining storyline for certain, but the wife and I rented the English subbed movie, part one and two based on the comic book.
Definitely, a must see if you like the cartoon, really pulls the storyline together, something I had trouble following in the anime.

But have times changed, Japanese films kick Hollywoods ass with a film based off of a comic book, grounded in mores of honor and courage in the face of certain death.

Yup, we've been watching Korean movies with subs lately, some pretty funny stuff - and unpredictable suspense.

One upside to subs, I don't have to ask Toy "Hat's he say"?

I hate the new sound systems they use in movies today, where the music drowns out the voices as opposed say a black and white 50s flick.
Be it 5.1 surround sound, Dolby, Ac3 audio, it all sucks anymore, you just can't hear the voices over the music and sound effects.
One more reason to ignore Hollywood.

Those values are still present in Japanese culture.
There have even been people volunteering to
go into the reactor at Fukushima
to try to get materials contained,
knowing that they will get doses of radiation
many times above lethal level.

Thanks to leftists, our culture is producing snowflakes.

HOW that gets done happens in at least two ways:

1. Public schools enforce "speech code" policies
that train students to be terrified of saying anything "offensive."
Many facts that are genuinely true are treated as "offensive."

The "self esteem" movement fits into this category.
Any of the criticism that one needs to improve their performance
is withheld, for fear of damaging the little snowflakes' "self esteem."

2. Public schools use storybooks to teach values and culture, as well as reading.
Gone are stories of heroes doing great, inspiring deeds.
They are replaced with stories of helpless "victims"
who never search for what they can do to help themselves,
but always look to the "great and benevolent" government
to solve their problems for them.

That's only the beginning, add to that universities, and a daily saturation in media from TV news to Hollywood movies and TV drama series, there's no escaping the indoctrination.
Hell, if one based our culture on leftist media, you'd think every family has a gay child, both parents cheat and steal from the company while incest and pedophilia is an unspoken theme within the family unit and only govt is equipped to deal with the dysfunction, but if you're a leftist, it's not a dysfunction at all, just a misunderstood part of American life.

Paging John McCain....   Obamacare radiation therapy, it's free, John!   and if a little bit is OK, maybe a whole bunch will cure you?
