Title: Swamp Draining Has Begun at the State Department
Post by: supsalemgr on February 18, 2017, 04:55:36 AM

This is good news. Surprising that it really has not been publicized much. This is absolutely imperative. Keep in mind the article comes from CBS and its bent is seasoned employees are being let go. One in particular was pointed out and by reading the piece it is evident this was a Clinton appointment held over by Bush. Note also, the State Department was not involved in conversations Trump and Netanyahu had. Good move and note there have been no leaks about those discussions. We should remember what Tillerson told the employees in his initial meeting them. Either get on the train or get gone.

My guess is that once the turncoats are booted out, Rex will bring in his own people. The ones who will likely clamp down on State Dept antics begininng with visa applications at consular offices.

Definitely good news, but I'm not so sure I like Kushner involved in any way.

How long will that take. This is was above my pay grade. The only thing my mind can think of is scrap the whole EPA and start over.

I'm not a fix it kind of guy when the situation is way to far gone like the EPA. I'm a scrap it and start over.

I am more of a scrap it we don't need it.  It should be state controlled.

Definitely with you on that one!

When I hear terms like, "Shadow Government" - like a knee-jerk reaction, I think of State Department.

Even though I live many hours from DC, yet... I've heard, "The President doesn't run this country, -WE- do." (State Dept).   Same kind of individual said, 'People are stupid, we tell them what to think and do.'

Oh... BTW, his buddy is running for Virginia Governor under the Democratic banner.  Birds of a feather, flock together.

Be advised that "Shadow Government" is now another name for "Deep State," which is gaining currency.

Why?

Because of his father's corruption and their ties to the DEMS especially the Clintons.  His father is a convicted felon for tax evasion, illegal campaign contributions and wire tapping. He was a heavy donor (over $1,000,000) to the DEMS.  He gave $90,000 to Hillary's 2000 Senate run.

Jared himself paid Bill Clinton $125,0000 for one of his speeches and has given more than $60,000 to Democratic committees and $11,000 to Hillary's campaigns over the years.

I realize he's married to Ivanka Trump and is President Trump's senior advisor, but the corruption that surrounds his family and their loyalty to the DEMS is concerning ... Charles Kushner also bought Jared's way into Harvard.

He certainly seems to have the confidence of the Trumpster.
Title: Tillerson fires rogue State Dept. faction
Post by: quiller on February 19, 2017, 05:51:23 AM
Rex Tillerson just cleaned out the top tier of Obama loyalists at State Department, firing the first volley at this century's political Fort Henry. The war against bureaucrats is underway.

QuoteIn the Clinton State Department, a rogue shadow government existed in secret from the 7th floor. These policy makers publicly boasted about their secretive operations. And you can bet that some of them have been responsible for much of the transition angst experienced by the Trump administration. So Tillerson terminated them.

This is a dramatic move, as it signaled that policy will now be controlled by the White House, not professional diplomats. And not a moment too soon.

A second link is within the above quote. CBS reports...

QuoteThere are clear signals being sent that many key foreign policy portfolios will be controlled directly by the White House, rather than through the professional diplomats.

Not a single State Department official was included in the White House meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week. Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner - who has  no regional expertise or diplomatic experience -  had a greater role in the meeting than the Senate-confirmed secretary of State.

Drive the rest of those diplos into the sea. At least the ones dealing in Middle East issues.

Draining the State Dept Swamp started the first week when Trump "removed" (a gentle euphemism for fired) all of His (Obamao's) Consular officers. These Bozo's run every US Embassy in the world and APPROVE VISA's and will let in any piece of dog crap who can hold an AK steady.

Replacing these people with more trustworthy consular officers who will ultimately be responsible toTiilerson is what is needed. Trump can slowly implement immigration policy without passing a single law.

And I agree with scraping the EPA, problem is none of this stuff will happen overnight, takes time.

Yes, because of his loyalty to his family. From my understanding it was Jared who convinced Trump to get rid of Chris Christie as it was Christie who sent his father to prison:

In the summer of 2004, Kushner was fined $508,900 by the Federal Election Commission for contributing to political campaigns in the names of his partnerships when he lacked authorization to do so.[7] In 2005, following an investigation by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey,[8] U.S. Attorney Chris Christie negotiated a plea agreement with Kushner, under which Kushner pleaded guilty to 18 counts of making illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion and witness tampering.[9] The witness-tampering charge arose from Kushner's act of retaliation against William Schulder, husband of his sister Esther, who was cooperating with federal investigators; Kushner hired a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, arranged for an encounter between the two to be secretly recorded, and had the tape sent to his sister.[10][11][12][13] Kushner was sentenced to two years in prison[10] and served 14 months at Federal Prison Camp, Montgomery in Alabama[14][15] before being sent to a halfway house in Newark, New Jersey to complete his sentence.[14][15][16] He was released from prison on August 25, 2006.[17]

As a result of his convictions, Kushner was disbarred from the practice of law in New Jersey,[18] New York,[19] and Pennsylvania.[20]

Trump fired just about every one of the US Embassy consular officers around the world, these are the Scumbags who give Visa's to Mohamad the unemployed cab driver who makes bombs for a hobby and pass over a registered nurse from Taiwan.

Replacing these Obamunists with people he can trust is a step in gaining control.

Stipulated.

I see I created a thread which needs merging to another already on that topic.

You can never have too many threads about firing asshole State Dept people, in my experience they are the most pompous, testy, look down their nose at you bunch of elites you can find, most expats hate them.

I hope Trump has suspended issuing visas until any applicant can be fully vetted. This is one executive action he can do without judicial interference.
