LMAO ...so why doesn't he use that "veto power" on the nuke problem NK has on his Korean Peninsula...?
People sleep peacefully at night because there are a few tough men prepared to do violence on their behalf.

A foolish man complains about his torn pockets.

A wise man uses it to scratch his balls.

As the fate of the Peninsula of Korea is in the hands of far greater powers; namely the USA and more critically Japan; this is malarkey from an ignoramus who ought to know better.
Reflect w/me a moment.
In 1852, POTUS Fillmore sent a Naval Squadron under Commodore Matthew Perry to Tokyo w/an olive branch and a gun. The Japanese got the message, lima charlie.
As a consequence, the Japanese shed millennia of isolation and seclusion; allowing them to modernize and then become the dominant military power on the Asian Continent; a geo-political reality that endured for a century!
Korea today, the North far more than the South, is Japan 300 years ago; entangled in isolation and seclusion.
Most emphatically, they are hardly masters of their fate!!!!!

Time to pull American troops OUT.

Quote"The government, putting everything on the line, will block war by all means," Moon said Tuesday, saying sanctions against North Korea are intended only to lead it to negotiations.

Tensions have increased as North Korea has advanced toward being able to hit the mainland United States with a nuclear-armed missile. Its state media on Tuesday described in detail its plans to launch missiles into waters near Guam, but it also reported that leader Kim Jong Un would monitor U.S. conduct before giving orders for the test — appearing to signal a path to defuse the crisis.

I dare say, nobody is paying any attention to Mr. Moon... he's begging for attention.   We start pulling out, NK starts flexing military muscle again, and he'll quit this nonsense.  A toothless tiger... cub.

Yep, spineless bastard.
Unfortunately, SK elected a leftist bleeding heart, and I highly doubt he'll see another term in office after this weeks stunt.
NK feeds on weakness, that's what dictators do and the people of SK are now well aware the leader they elected could very easily get some of their people killed through his capitulation to the North.

Liberals are the same, regardless of country. This guy probably really believes NK would behave if the US pulled the troops out of SK. Kind of like Feinstein suggested we give up guns and the criminals would not need them either.

Unfortunately, that has been the 'Feeling" in SK for decades. I remember the election Of Pak Chung He, any talk of angst against the North brought scorn from the left (majority public), who also ran govt media, so one had to be careful or they were labeled war mongers.
Koreans live in a real fear of NK, I still wake from dreams of midnight alerts because Kim was doing border incursions, shooting SK guards, floating bombs down the Imjin river, we had a guy lose a hand after fishing a package out of the river.

I can see why they don't want any mention of war, they know for a fact NK will respond, even if it's just shelling islands just off the peninsula, he always does something to keep the South gripped in fear.

What kind of talk is this? To our own ally at that. South Korea is a friend of the United States not a vassal for us to lord over. Since the war would take place in their country and the vast majority of friendly deaths would be South Korean,  I would reckon they would get a say if we go to war or not. Barring the norks actually launching a missile against us of course.

Lord Palmerston's words are appropriate here, viz;
"Great nations have neither allies nor friends, they merely have interests."
And internalizing that wisdom, the creation of Rome, allows them to remain great.
Pious platitudes and sanctimonious malarkey, the verbiage of political trash are no substitute.
Our interest is in bringing down Kim; as he is a threat to us and our interests.
Hopefully So. Korea agrees; if not so what!

Well, that'll stop crazy Kim and his nukes.

Walter, start using the quote function. I won't ask a second time.
Not doing so, is not only poor etiquette and downright rude, but for those not following the conversation closely, makes it difficult to understand the context.

I suggest we put them all in straight-jackets and padded cells.   Trying really hard to use Liberal logic, before realizing it's just jumbled 'illogical feelings'.

No disrespect to anyone was ever intended.
I have never used the "quote function" because I don't know how!!!
Give me a few days to figure it out.
