Some Of The Swamp Is Being Drained

Oh my! Tillerson is actually trying to make the State Department more efficient. The bureaucratic snowflakes are not happy. It is clear Tillerson understands there are snakes in the woodpile and he is excluding some from being in his circle. Sounds like good business principles to me.

Tillerson is there to follow Trump's orders and not to wander off into hiring binges. Enforced retirements for marginal employees at all levels is a MUST for any agency, but in State's case these pampered poltroons need more than a minor staffing trim. They need "Chainsaw Al" Dunlap wasting-away entire floors of diplo-deadbeats.

These are the longest-term entrenched bureaucracy, that Invisible Government we were warned about decades ago but never did anything about. These globalist surrender artists would never admit it, but they are the Enemy Within which Kennedy warned us about.

Let them complain. When one disobeys, fire him or her as an example. Rinse and repeat until the slugs in the morning-coats finally get that message.

Tillerson did not get to the top of Exon without understanding internal politics in an organization. It sounds like he is identifying the "enemies" and relegating them to irrelevance if he can't fire them. The inmates are not happy and that is good.

Were you aware he's trying to rein in Nikki Haley at the UN by demanding she follow the guidelines laid out at State rather than her much-more-productive shoot from the hip activities until the present?

And is Tillerson being outshone by Nimrata the Great?

I am not surprised there may be some conflict between Haley and Tillerson. Their styles are very different as are their backgrounds. Haley comes from the political world and used to a more public presence. Tillerson comes from the business world where most work is done out of the public light. I don't see a big issue here as it will work itself out.

Only so long as Trump likes her style over Tillerson's. His ludicrous memo trying to haul her back into line denotes a man not sure of his position. He had to put it in writing to back himself up once the number of such course-corrections became a pattern he could use to convince Trump to take action (on whatever issue it might be).

I am going to wait and see how this plays out. Being a resident of NC and having worked primarily in SC the last years of my career I have some knowledge of SC politics. I never got involved in this fight, but there many republicans in SC that were not sorry to see her position as governor. She burned quite s few bridges when she was in the legislature.
