Nah, I think he meant to say something else, but his fingers didn't hear what his brain was saying. I know this from experience.

I do not desire to derail this thread, however, I have a question I would appreciate feedback from you folks.

These hearings seem to focus on quid pro quo with the Ukranian president. To be quite honest, I have no problem with quid pro quo dealing with other countries. If the USA providing funding for whatever, why should we not expect something in return?

From what I hear, it is how most foreign policy is conducted. Contingencies are a part of negotiation. These types of interactions take place in everyday life, and there is nothing wrong with them. Where the problem comes in, is whether or not it was directed for foreign policy or for personal benefit. According to the dems, it was for the personal benefit of Trump in exchange for dirt or investigations into Joe Biden.

That's the problem. The Dims know they have nothing and hoped to blame Trump for Biden's BS, by claiming Trump was breaking the law investigating "quid pro quo". The whole thing is backfiring big time and the Dims are starting to panic.
The investigation into Burisma involving Biden and his kid has begun in Ukraine and when it's done, which won't be long, all Hell is going to break lose and even the millennial lib will be forced to accept the fact that the left has been lying to them all along.
Like I said, I wish I was tech savvy. Picture this, a million playing cards all depicting Dim corruption built into huge mansion, and filmed in slow motion, the cards begin to collapse.
Everyone knows the outcome because once a house of cards starts collapsing, there's just no stopping it. That's the Dim party.

Best I can tell, it is ok to expect the other country to hire your son at an enormous salary for doing no work, but the next president is not suppose to ask any question about that relationship.

All foreign policy is based on some sort of quid pro quo. That is not illegal. The issue is basically a question. "Did Trump do this to root out corruption or to help his 2020 campaign?" The latter is illegal. The former is not and so far there is no definitive evidence for anything. All we have is opinions.
