I don't envy him.
Of course the usual suspects voted against him. Cory Booker (NJ), Dianne Feinstein (CA), Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), Kamala Harris (CA), Ed Markey (MA), Jeff Merkley (OR), Elizabeth Warren (MA), Ron Wyden (OR), and Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

It they did not, I would think they pick the wrong person.
VA is a tough one. It seems like there will never be the will or the money to actually fix the overall system.
Each secretary will do some nice work on very specific problems .......... then get destroyed by some other hidden, latent disaster.
Seems like this has happened to every single one of them for the last 20 years.

STOP!! PAYING damn bones and put the money to good use.
If they do not privatize it they have to at the very least be able to hold people accountable (which seems to have happened) and allow the vets ample access to private health care.

So simple isn't it Boo? If VA care is not closely available just provide them Medicare coverage through private providers. I cannot imagine this having much opposition in congress.
