IMHO things will be much different for decades; with Scalia passing and new justices appointed, the chances of the courts being tilted to the left are probable and I'm not so sure that the 2nd amendment will remain in tact.  When the 2nd amendment is tossed aside, the rest of our rights will go right along with it.
You nailed it. They are already taking away free speech, soon to be called "speech we can all agree on", everything else is "hate" speech and not allowed or protected.

I have no idea, Mon Ami, but to crap in one hand and wish in the other only gets crap in one hand.

As for me ad my house, we shall vote for he that may keep his word.

The only one that may keep his word is Ted Cruz young timer.  But being from the Great state of Texas, you know that young man.

We lost the courts long ago. As to the 2nd, the only way the govt can get away with anything, is if we let them.

Are you actually suggesting the lib trump, a man that either backed away or flip flopped on every campaign promise he ever made, sees the Constitution as a list of suggestions hypocritically hires former Soros Money Manager As Finance Chairman, after claiming how evil Cruz wife was for working at the firm in the past. Oh yeah, an admitted lib to boot.
Is somehow going to be better than Hillary?

I don' know, Solar, but Trump is the nominee. As much as you like Cruz, he will not become President in this cycle. That leaves the Libertarian, Green Pub,or Dim.

I'll be driving through Appomattox in the next 2-3 hours, is there a bell to ring that hasn't been rung in awhile?
Should I stop at the memorial, that commercialized edifice (staffed by Liberals pretending to be Patriots), the Old Courthouse, or just keep on moving?  MEH, why bother, 90% of the people have NO IDEA where Appomattox, VA is, what happened there ... or care the least... certainly this current Administration is among them.

I see, I should shelve my principles and support an admitted NY Lib on the Establishments ticket, because he has an (R) next to his name.
Nah, I'll write in cruz with the millions of other Conservatives to show the GOP, we're no longer pawns in their leftist game to push the nation further left, that we're a force to be reckoned with, the force that removes their asses from office one lib at a time.

No, but in my state I can vote for him and not hold my nose this year.  Who will you vote for, that you don't hold your nose?

Yes, millions. The movement is bigger than you'd think, and it has the Establishment in a panic.

Well, Hoof, as you know, that is when we ceased being a states united in America, and became a nation state.

We have been on a downhill slide ever since.
