Title: Second Amendment
Post by: Shooterman on August 11, 2016, 06:26:14 PM
Any one think that the Second Amendment won't take a lot of abuse, if The Beast  elected?

You bet it will. That's probably her goal within the first 100 days in office. After that, single payer HC! Her old plan dressed in a new pants suit.

No more damaging than that of the NY Lib.
One despises the bill of Rights, the other thinks it has something to do with debt collectors and wants no part of it.

It will be just as it has been for decades. Death by a thousand cuts. They know that can't outright repeal it so they will regulate the hell out of it to make it as arduous as possible to obtain a firearm.

Which is why focusing on the down ticket is so important..
Unless the votes as so split between 3 or 4 candidates its a given she has this wrapped up, we have to work hard on making sure we don't lose the Senate. She can be stopped but sadly, trumpsters could care less about anything other than trump.

IMHO things will be much different for decades; with Scalia passing and new justices appointed, the chances of the courts being tilted to the left are probable and I'm not so sure that the 2nd amendment will remain in tact.  When the 2nd amendment is tossed aside, the rest of our rights will go right along with it.

We lost the courts long ago. As to the 2nd, the only way the govt can get away with anything, is if we let them.

:cursing:  Except I just spoke with the FL Dept. of Agriculture regional licensing division.  One cannot renew their permit early.  In order to renew a CCW permit you have to receive a renewal letter from the State.  Those letters normally come out 150 days before the permit expires; however, I was informed that they are so backed up that people who's licenses expired in December are just now getting their renewal letters/licenses.  Of course he went on to say that I have nothing to worry about, FL isn't going to change their laws.  Ya, right.  If I believed that, I wouldn't have called in the first place.

I think we're royally screwed. Who's to say that there won't be an e.o. issued placing a freeze on granting new permits or renewals?

Nope, not just you. All gun laws and training and permit requirements are illegal and go directly against the 2nd amendment. That being said, you will go to jail without following these requirements. Now, some may ask if I think training is a bad thing. The answer is no. I think people should be well trained but making it a requirement is just another infringement against the most infringed against words "shall not be infringed." I carried a firearm before the state of Fl required a permit in 1987 and I decided to apply for a permit then and have had one since. Its another tax. It sucks. The states that are passing constitutional carry are getting it right. It should be the law of the land. I am an FFL and am also an NRA pistol instructor. The 2nd is something close to my heart.

The question is, why are you under the illusion that trump entered the race to win?
The GOP had a perfectly good Conservative, yet wound up pushing him out in support of Trump.
Are you not making this connection?
Trump is not even a RINO. All the evidence supports he's in the race to get Clinton elected, has been since long before he announced he was running.

Hate to say it, but I see very little evidence that trump has any chance to become president. Doesn't that make a vote for trump just as "useless" as a vote for Cruz. One of those votes sends a message, or at least I hope it does.
