It's why when something is spilled in a union shop and the janitor, or PC speak (maintenance guy) is off, the spill sits until management cleans it up.
I know that sounds weird, but you hear it all the time in a union shop "Ain't my job".

Hmm... Maintenance Engineer if you please.  That way you have to pay she/he even more money.

You guys are gonna like this one.

I've been arguing this Hostess thing on FB with some lib friends of mine.

I thought my goose was cooked when I saw this posted this morning...........by a lib female.

http://www.salon.com/2012/11/20/vulture_capitalism_not_unions_killed_twinkies/

I decided to look up the filthy, greedy venture capital firm.

It's run by a democrat.

The FB thread has gone silent.

hmmmm..... maybe they should have Bain rescue the company instead of Ripplewood

It sure would have made a better story for the lib media. I'm also sure that it's very upsetting for them when they slip up and do some honest reporting.

A classic case of shooting first and aiming later. The idiot reporter wrote a hit piece on the right, without bothering to research who ran Ripplewood. Morons.

My lib FB friend picked it up like a piece of freshly killed meat and ran with it. Snapping her was fun.

Libs are such tools, you can't help but laugh at their expense.
It's like when they claim we need to build hydrogen powered cars, but then slap them upside the head for wanting to kill our energy infrastructure that creates the electricity that makes hydrogen.

What sterling managers Hostess must have had.  Standing around, wringing their hands helplessly while voting themselves big bonuses as they waited on the union to tell them what to do.

Any time a company goes belly up, it's management's fault.  Not a labor union's.  Look at UPS and the Teamsters.  UPS is very profitable for one reason.  Good management.  Not absence of (or weakness of) a labor union.

Yet you completely overlook competition?

Bottom line is unions shot themselves in the foot and have only themselves to blame for job loss.
It was the tiny Bakers union that killed 90% of the jobs that depended on Hostess.

You read my links right?

With the help of Dick Gephart, (democrat member of congress turned lobbyist), a democrat venture capitalist bought the company out of bankruptcy. He also installed Gephart's democrat son as a member on the board of directors for $100,000 a year.

Your facts might be close, but make sure to include the fact that the who's who of what brought down the company were democrats. We wouldn't want anybody to get the wrong impression and blame it on the right.

Now if I were one of those conspiracy types, I'd figure that Gephart got his union buddies to drive the company under so his Democrat friends could buy it dirt cheap - oh, and give his kid a job. The payoff is, when it get's restructured everybody's head is on the block - except the bakers union.

I wonder if we should start a thread about how Harry Reid became a very wealthy man while earning a senators salary. Apparently, being a senator, and working part time to secure real estate deals for federal land, pays pretty well.

This just dawned on me today. Didn't Michelle Obama ban these snacks from all public schools?

Yawn

I know you're sort of kidding, but how does this woman have ANY power over such things?  It seems she is able to apply pressure to the school system and even stores. Why is that?  How does this woman get away with this sort of national meddling?

Not kidding at all.

I'm not exactly sure how it works, but I think that since schools receive federal funds to hand out "free" lunches, Michelle Obama, through the FDA and USDA, have implemented a banning of bagged lunches, and an edict that forces kids to eat what's served in the cafeteria. This is going on across the country.

I'm sure you heard of the little girl in NC that was sent home.

Does anybody care that this woman wasn't elected to anything?  All of these bureaucracies need to be gutted, but few Republicans are even up to it.  If Ron Paul would just do these things I would vote for him.  If he ran on this sort of thing instead of all the kook social issues, he would have gotten a lot more support.

End the EPA. End the NEA. Greatly restrict the FDA. Give them NO powers that belong to the Legislative branch.
