Is Michael overreacting, or did Trump break a promise, or is this nothing?

WASHINGTON – It's another GOP civil war.

Two weeks ago, it was over health care. Now it's Syria.

President Trump's first significant military action as commander in chief has divided prominent conservatives, some hailing the airstrikes on Syria, others condemning it.

That's because the division isn't really over the attack. The big question is what comes next?

Is the president leading America into war?

As of now, GOP establishment figures such as House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and a number of Democratic leaders are supporting the president. So are some well-known conservatives.

"The president made the right move, if, as reported, our military destroyed the Syrian airbase and 20 planes," former congresswoman Michele Bachmann told WND.
Snip~~~

Talk show giant Michael Savage declared, "This beating of the war drums with Russia has to stop."

"Who got to you Mr. President?" he asked. "Who is whispering in your ear and could have made you make this dramatic of a change towards Russia in just three days?"

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., criticized President Trump for not seeking congressional approval beforehand, and noted, "Our prior interventions in this region have done nothing to make us safer and Syria will be no different."

"While we all condemn the atrocities in Syria, the United States was not attacked," Paul tweeted.

Perhaps the president's biggest supporter in the 2016 campaign,  columnist Ann Coulter, tweeted, "Those who wanted us meddling in the Middle East voted for other candidates."

"Trump campaigned on not getting involved in Mideast. Said it always helps our enemies and creates more refugees. Then he saw a picture on TV," she added, in reference to images of Syrians gruesomely killed in gas attacks, including children.

Hmm...  I did not see Michael Savage running for President or did I miss something.

Hmm...  I did not see Michael Savage running for President or did I miss something.

Savage was so devoted to Trump, pounding his own drum, day after day, to see him nominated & elected.   Bragging he was the FIRST to come out for Donald Trump (of talk show hosts), the rest were slow to see his obvious wisdom (tongue in cheek).

Liberals were probably wondering the same thing when Donald Trump announced he was running as a Republican, "Who got to you, Donald???  You've been a dedicated LIBERAL for decades, supported our candidates and causes, fought against Ronald Reagan's tax cuts - even testified  before congress, tax cuts were bad!   Who got to you, Donald?"

If Trump flips bad to his Liberal roots - and he might, given the pressure from his leftist daughter, Ivanka... and old friends...  gee.. I won't be too surprised.   Does Savage think the left has just written him off?

So .... should President Trump continue to display the same weakness as his predecessor? IMHO it is that weakness that is in part responsible for the deterioration of the Middle East.  Bammy was hoping to turn the U.S. into a giant refugee camp just like what has happened in Europe. Anyone who doesn't see what he did is either blind, ignorant or just plain stupid.

Just a personal view, but I place Savage in the same category as Beck.

A good number of hardcore Trumpers are pissed at him...   I'm still happy if he hits 50% of what he says, but they are beside themselves in shock that he's morphing into the establishment (or appearing to do so)..

They are quickly realizing that Trump is not a 'Super Hero'.  Gee ... what a revelation!

They're dealing with it oddly.  It's why we have the advantage of his Presidency and any good stuff he does as being gravy over what Hillary would have done.  The Trumpers, however, actually put him on a pedestal and got suckered.  We told them he's a leftist and will take to the establishment like a fish to water, but hopefully he can stil deliver on some good stuff.

Hindsight being 20/20, I now see just how much of an Establishment troll Rush became over the years, and all because he had a direct line to (pick your head RINO of the day)

Agreed, hadn't thought of it before - they are both highly emotional and fritter on the edges of foundation-less irrationality.
Contrast that thought with Mark Levin.
